Wilder sounds like he`s losing the plot. All the statements about his power, ability, skill etc. He`ll be claiming he`s a Ninja like Charles Martin next. Sad really.

Wilder needs Joshua, Joshua dont need Wilder, he will continue to sell out stadiums without him, he will continue to make millions and millions of pounds. Anthony Joshua is the face of Heavyweight boxing right now.

Sure he's jealous, professionally speaking. Why shouldn't he be? There's a guy with fewer fights under his belt sitting up where Wilder feels he should be. But if he channels it right, it shouldn't hurt his chances in the ring. Moreso the opposite.

He's delusional if he thinks he has many fans, that's certainly a delusion.

Hearn summed it up, Wilder's merely building his own reputation by piggy backing off the the popularity of Joshua. He got to 38-0 without so much as breaking out of the Alabama market, so when Joshua became one of the faces of boxing in half the amount of fights it broke him a little bit. Hence the outlandish Versace and fur coats, the crazy talk about KOing Joe Louis and the need to **** on Tyson's resume.

It's all about gaining the attention and adulation he thinks he deserves. In Wilder-land (population - 7) he thinks he can get that by talking endless smack, in reality he has to earn it in the ring. Assuming there was no foul play on the WBC's end regarding Povetkin/Ortiz, if he had just fought a credible top ten opponent in any of his six title defences; I (and I assume many others) wouldn't give him half as much ****. A Pulev, a Takam, a Ruiz or a Browne, 2 or 3 of those and his resume would be decent, not great, but decent. Instead he has cherry picked guys he knows are either physically outmatched or guaranteed to roll over.

Wilder is in a desperate position he needs Joshua to cash out he knows he can't fight anyone else and cash out.

The reality is though Wilder says he wants Joshua but it is lies his track record proves he is not interested in taking challenging fights so who one earth would believe him when he says he wants Joshua?

I will only take Wilder seriously if he takes challenging fights
