Him saying his legs didn't feel right is all down to his pre fight nerves & adrenaline. I believe him, he looked like a nervous wreck in his changing room pacing around. It's all mental for Wilder. Weak legs before you've even been punched in the head is never a great start. Fury is the opposite he rises to pressure. Just by the way he has prepared he isn't treating Wilder as any less of a threat. You need boxing skillsets to throw Fury off something Wilder doesn't have, or at least not the right kind. Fury's ditched that high Vegas heat for a cooler UK camp. Smart. Not draining off which is what really went wrong in his "covid" camp.
The thing is with fury he has confidence in his ability, denty is very mentally weak in comparison and has no real confidence in his ability, either than knowing he has some power that gets him out of trouble most of he time. He knows the score.
Wilder had a panic attack before the fury 2 fight just like joshua did before the first ruiz fight. Its an adrenaline dump, the final knockdown of joshua in the ruiz fight gives it away, his muscles were so fatigued due to lack of glycogen that he could barely stand up. In the wilder fury 2 fight wilders were less unsteady but he was still feeling spindly, lucky for him is that fury is not a devastating puncher so he just took constant damage but not hard enough for him to get knocked out. hyperventilation before a fight is a big no no.
It's interesting because you can see Fury on his ringwalk. steely focused, takes a deep breathe in, he knows what Wilder can do but he remains calm and can control his emotion. Wilder on the other hand was just gone, just like AJ. Both of them seem to be able to relax more once the fight is in progress however. Wilder was pretty happy taking his beating to be honest.
Where is Fury right now and who's training him? All talk about this fight has gone quiet which is worrying considering we're 4 weeks away.
