Those two RHs that touched Fury early on but probably didn't land flush. Adjust those an inch or so and Fury will likely go down. Swarm Fury and finish him.

The margins aren't that great due to Wilder's punching. Fury was an inch or so away from disaster. That's why I don't understand why Fury fans are so confident about this outcome.

Whatever strategy Wilder and his team come up with, once the fight starts and he has taken a few shots, Wilder will resort to the strategy he's built his career on.

    Land the right hand.

I think Wilder's best chance actually is the left hook, not a right hand. Fury is all over that punch now.

Ultimately, I don't think Deontay will be able to prevent Fury from coming forward, and means the third fight will mostly look like the second one. Maybe Wilder will employ more movement and try to extend the fight without too much contact, strategizing around one punch rather than trading the way he did in the rematch.

Wilder made alot of mistakes in the 2nd fight. One of them is that he refused to respect Fury's power. He said himself he didn't think Fury hit that hard.

In Ortiz 2 Wilder respected Ortiz's power (probably a little too much) and adjusted accordingly.

In Fury 2 he had zero defense and allowed himself to get hit. A 270 lb man is going to have power regardless of how hard he hit before. Wilder underestimated this and paid the price.

Unfortunately even if Wilder wins the 3rd fight (which he is very capable of doing despite what the Fury fan boys think), he just doesn't have the ring IQ to adjust for every fight afterwards.

At the same time however, Joshua and Dillian Whyte are no better. They too need rematches to make a better account of themselves after losing the first time around, because they can't adjust on the fly in a first fight. That's why Eddie Hearn is so adamant about them rematch clauses.

He's spot on, Fury is going to put Wilder on his heels again and Wilder cannot fight backing up. Wilder has to throw his jab often and put juice on it as Bradley said to the chest, body, head and follow it with hard right hands. As soon as Wilder starts giving ground he loses, he has to have punching distance so he has got to hit Fury early with something very hard to put Fury on his back foot.

I agree, a proper guard would be beneficial, so he can block shots instead of only slipping them will make Fury's feints and jab less effective. That's the problem with fighters like Wilder who rely solely on head movement and distance as their defence, you can jab and feint them into positions that are disadvantageous.

Yeah coming under and throwing over the top of the left could possibly work as we've seen Fury caught with overhand rights before like vs Cunningham and at the very least it might make Fury more cautious in throwing the jab, knowing a counter could come back.

Ring walk butt naked, and take box loads of laxatives before the fight. Wilder is done. Do not even think the second fight was necessary. He won’t last near as long this time round.

Wilder had his best periods of sustained success in the first fight when he jabbed with Fury. Like many good jabbers Fury is susceptible to being jabbed himself. Fury was busting up Wilder with power jabs early 2nd fight with impunity as Wilder had abandoned his own jab. You can’t put too much in Wilder’s head, it’s just going to confuse him. He’s not going to turn into a savvy counterpuncher at 36. Fury is too slippery for Wilder’s average at best hook. Well timed straight off the jab is his only chance.

Ofc and they aren't much better than Wilder and for a reason.

Pro boxing is only business and a bit sport.
Klits ( bad era ?) boxers for current heroes to fight with etc greatness.
You had dreams about stuff like Foreman vs Frazier I? No way here.

Maybe because he landed those right hands in the first fight and Fury got up both times and hurt Wilder in return and Wilder only landed them in the first fight because Fury backed up so much giving him the chance to throw so many right hands but this new Fury will back Wilder up limiting the number of right hands he can throw.

Does Wilder have a punchers chance, sure he does as does any hard hitting heavyweight but the odds are stacked against him as he only has so much time to land a right hand before getting KO'ed himself and he won't be allowed to throw as many right hands as he normally does to get the job done and even if he does land it, there a very good chance Fury gets up and hurts him back.

His game plan will be to SURVIVE and hope the judges gift him the fight.

If Wilder lands more punches and doesn't head hunt he can win the fight.

Does Fury land the one in a million shot behind the ear again ?

That shot changed the fight, nothing else.

Wilder came within fractions of a inch landing on Fury flush before the behind the ear shot.

Wilder hurt Fury like nobody ever has......Fury benefited from a lenient Ref plus awesome recuperative powers in his hard knock down vs Wilder was stopped on his feet by the corner towel while willing to go on, no spit the mouth piece out and quit job.

Fury takes Wilder VERY serious, bank on it.

It will be a great fight and if Wilder wins this place will go into total Euro melt down mode..............imagine Fury going to sleep by a " Bum" "Fraud" etc etc.
