I still believe he has the skills of a top 20 HW, just because the HW division is that poor. His chin isn't even that poor, anyone can be knocked out in r1. He was coming in fresh and not thoroughly warmed up. I still believe that he is quite good, quite talented, maybe I exaggerated on the great skills part but you know how it is? Deontay is coming off a broken hand surgery and he's going to take 2 more fights this year after this. I can't criticize him that much for this because he's shown to be a real warrior. Really can't. He could have taken a better opponent but Molina is actually quite good and people will be surprised how effective he'll be back fight night.
I actually don't mind MVC at all. He's obviously wayyyyy over the top in his admiration of a few fighters but when you get him off those subjects he's actually quite good. He follows the international and under-the-radar scenes very closely. He follows prospects, he wakes up along with myself and a handful of other posters in the early hours of the morning to catch cards that are happening in the EE and Asia and he's generally sound in his predictions, even if he hedges his bets more than JP Morgan. :hey
oh i like him too, but u have to pick and choose topics carefully with him. you have to admire anyone who takes the time to fu.ck with people so detailed and diligently. He has a lot of time on his hands. But knows his stuff. and you never see him mad
I get what you're saying. But his chin is poor. If you've watched as many of his fights as you say then you can't really dispute that. He's been rocked by no hopers as well as Arreola. For the record, in no particular order and without even mentioning Arreola here are 20 HWs who are better than Molina... Wlad Wilder Fury Povetkin Perez Pulev Glazkov Takam Jennings Chagaev TT Cunningham Joshua Stiverne Parker Ustinov Adamek Helenius Wach Szpilka
Haha this is a sound assessment. My favorite troll is probably Serge. My first week on this forum he was in some thread claiming that Barkley re-hydrated 66 lbs after the weigh in to 226 for the Duran fight. I argued that was impossible with him for about 5 pages before realizing I was being trolled Lesson learned.
I would put Molina in there (Strictly based on skills) and take out certain individuals. Guys like Glazkov are not top 20 material, maybe top 20 in the history of guys getting gifts. Never enjoyed watching him fight, I think he's nowhere near the rest of the guys you have there, well most of em. And several others. Cunningham would be one. Not that big on Parker right now either, he's too green. Wach
You can't just say skills and nothing else, there's more to a fighter than just skills. He's not a top 20 all round HW. I hate watching Glazkov too but he's a damn sight better than Molina. Cunningham is far better than Molina and green or not Parker would bring more to the table than Molina. Wach's not great and he's a cheat, but he's better than Molina. If you want to take one of those guys out and throw in Arreola then fine (I think next to nothing of him but we know he's better than Molina). David 'the chinless wonder' Price is better than Molina too. And we didn't really even start getting into the prospect outside of Joshua and Parker...
Wilder is a joke! He should be stripped and his belt should be vacated and given to the winner of Wlad/Fury.
Murica needed a HW wrecking machine. They did not have anyone on the horizon so they manufactured one through smoke and mirrors.
