I agree. In regards to AJ it's still a pick em fight though. Who knows what damage the Dubios KO has done mentally?

Wilder vs Chisora as a mandatory might be the grand travesty that buries the sport for good.

True, although it's also clear Joshua's fall was from a much higher bar to begin with... And it wasn't really ever a pickem fight - Joshua was beating fighters who were better than Wilder and all Wilder would've ever had was a punchers chance.

Neither have handled losses well, quite likely neither is in a good place mentally - physically, Joshua is still in much better shape.

There's also a big difference between getting caught early against a young contender who's likely to go on to dominate Vs getting completely shut out like Wilder was against Parker or getting beaten up by an inconsistent fighter like Zhang (who has a very mixed record at contender level).

To me, the fact there was so clearly a big gap between them at their best suggests there almost certainly still is, but to each their own I guess?

Yeah lol I reckon Chisora will stop him hopefully the bookies make Derek an outsider.

I think prime for prime it wasn't as relevant. Fury still got caught by the monster right hand and I'd consider him to be the superior boxer by a mile.

Yes AJ has beaten better fighters, that doesn't make his chin stand up to a well timed right hand.

I guess a lot will depend on how AJ moves forward. I doubt we'll ever see the fight sadly.

I'd give Usyk zero credit for beating a small dude like Wilder and zero credit for Wilder for beating a small dude like Usyk.

Wilder himself said that the DAZN deal was genuine but he chose to reject it and go a different way.

I’ll be surprised if usyk fights past 2025. Thing is wilder may well pick up a belt somehow when it all fragments, assuming Dubois doesn’t win on the 19th. If Dubois does win though wilder has no hope

Yep, that's one of how many negotiations between the two over how many months and years? It wasn't a sprint race, it was a bloody marathon and to think that blame only lay on one side is a huge assumption.

Chisora is the iBF mandatory so why would he face Wilder who is well down the pecking order?

There is zero chance that this shot to bits Wilder will pick up a belt. You have to be ****ing joking!

It was a public offer and Deontay tweeted that he was "betting on himself."

What more is there to know?? Made far less money fighting lesser competition...pretty standard PBC stuff

Him vs chisora for ibf could happen and he can still win off a good jab

How? Wilder isn't ranked in the iBF top fifteen, so where are you getting that from?

Wilder doesn't have a good jab, so highly unlikely that he somehow, at forty, jabs his way to a victory.
