These are the top ranking by the WBC

    1. Alexander Povetkin
    2. Bermane Stiverne
    3. Kubrat Pulev
    4. Johann Duhaupas
    5. Carlos Takam
    6. Joseph Parker
    7. Andy Ruiz
    8. David Haye
    9. Bryant Jennings
    10. Malik Scott
    11. Artur Szpilka
    12. Eric Molina
    13. Dereck Chisora
    14. Ruslan Chagaev
    15. Gerald Washington

It's obvious that Pulev should be Wilder's next opponent. I think they may make that fight but I think Ruiz, Chisora and Washington will be the most likely candidates.

WBC is allowing Wilder to have a fourth voluntary defense, so expect to see a rematch with Sconiers, or perhaps Christy Martin can come out of retirement?

We will know it when the new WBC rankings will be released. The guy who moves in the top-15 outta nowhere will be next for Wilder.

My guess is that the WBC will suspend Povetkin for six months to a year.

They will probably order Stiverne vs. Pulev as an eliminator for a new mandatory.

From that list Washington seems like a very likely candidate-he's with Haymon or maybe Jennings but that's a much tougher fight.

The WBC could always slide someone else into their top15 when their next rankings come out like Arreola and he gets a shot but until then Washington looks like the leading candidate.

I'd be surprised if Wilder fights anyone too tough. He gets another easier defense in now and looks at a major fight later this year-Povetkin(if the WBC rules favorably for him), Joshua unification or Wlad-Fury winner in a unification.

I honestly don't give a damn about Wilder anymore. He had his chance to prove himself against Povetkin and ran away from the fight. Might as well fight Gjergjaj for all I care. He's a worthless paper champion.

That's what I wondered. Team Wilder is gonna be real upset if they can't fight someone that holds an AARP card.

Well, much of this is going to change because Povetkin will get dropped, Takam lost, Chisora lost, Chagaev was reinstated as the WBA "regular" champ.

And Wilder has already faced five of the other guys - Stiverne, Duhaupas, Spzilka, Scott and Molina.

Ideally, he'd choose between Kubrat Pulev, Joseph Parker or David Haye.

Parker just won, but his team is doing their own thing, already have another fight scheduled, and don't seem to be in a rush to fight for a title.

David Haye seems to be doing his own promotional thing and is looking at Briggs and later Joshua. But he would be the most marketable.

So that basically leaves you with four names: Kubrat Pulev, Andy Ruiz, Bryant Jennings and Gerald Washington.

Unless Breazeale somehow upsets Joshua in June, and Wilder unifies with Breazeale.

Or some new names are added to the top 15 ... now that Takam, Chisora, Chagaev and Povetkin may be out.
