Tyson's legs were tree trunks. Other than a few times, he always showed up with visible abs. His weight was due to his wide build, bone density, and lower body even more muscular than his muscular upper body.

He was a crazy shredded looking ~220 against McNeely.

I don't really "blame" anyone for dodging Wilder. Mediocre skills or no, one thing he's not mediocre at is landing nukes with that right hand. He's knocked down every fighter he's faced. To fight him is at accept you're going to have to get off the canvas a time or two to do it, and question is, will you be able to get up?

    He's dangerous as hell.

    I agree with that.

I do think though in the third fight the extra muscle helped Wilder with his power and punch resistance against Fury.

The second fight Wilder was getting thrown around like a rag doll, had no punch resistance and his punches literally had no affect on Fury.

In all honesty, I still can't believe Tyson Fury didn't pop "dirty" after that fight. He was enormous, fit, so overwhelmingly strong ... by far the best performance of his pro or amateur career.

Fury was an absolute beast, unlike anything he was before or after.

The answer is simple & has been stated by others.
    WIlder has no legs.
His calves are listed at 14", small for any HW, but that is much less significant than thights listed at 18"!

    This is absolutely TINY.
Look up any ancient HWs, even though they often were the size of modern CWs at BEST, & some modern rehydrated MWs at best...
Can you find ANY of these men with upper legs this puny?
Even finding a 20" will be small for these overall MUCH smaller men.

Only maybe Bob FItzsimmons, who was lucky to weigh as much as an average modern day MW in the ring, AND had no legs...
I dunno if even he had only an 18" thigh!

Also his butt has little size.
His center of balance is very high.

When the average man has 60% of his body weight BELOW the waist, & a guy is this disproportionate-& very low body fat...
Of course he is gonna look much bigger than he actually weighs!
Because what we instinctively notice is more upper body mass.
