He put in everything in that straight 1-2 on Stiverne. But B-Ware still got up immidietly afterwards.

220 pounds can just take you thus far.

The "mystic" power of Wilder comes from the wild swings that lands behind the ears. Perfect suited combinations for bullying small or slow plodders. There's no risk involved then. He can get away with it because of his height reach and leap.

His power is overrated and looks good because of the carefully handpicked opposition.

Wilder clearly held back on those first two shots as a way for Stiverne to lose without having to be knocked out cold. But, when Stiverne got up a third time Wilder got pissed and knocked him out.

No one is denying that he has power. He just don't have that AJ/Klitschko- one straight right hand - KO-power of the 240+ range. For 220 pounds level he hits hard I give him that, just like David Haye.

I've noticed this too, Windmills doesn't have 1 punch KO power. These cans always seem to pop right back up, and need a second or third knockdown to end it.

Buffet should have got out of that round. Did Windmill hit him after the bell? Should have been a DQ. :sisi2:

Windmills was fighting the ref after thumping Buffet after the bell. Thus your ending point does raise some concern lol.

He's a pillow fist. AJ is too, most of his opponents get stopped on their feet. AJ vs Wilder will ultimately be two girls having a slumber party with a pillow fight.

No one can deny his power, proven only against top 20 or lower ranked opposition.

His power is unproven against top 10 or elite championship opposition.

Take Whyte as a great example of the fact power doesn't carry as you step up in class. Whyte had a great KO record early in his career, he was known as a big puncher. Since he stepped up following the AJ loss he has 3 UDs and one RTD on his record.

i trust my judgement on what i see with my own eyes
wilder has genuine power be it top 50 or if he faces a top 10 opponent

what happens to punchers when they step up is the better fighters throw back more / slip shots/ride shots /parry shots /all in all have much better /harder to pierce defenses and the punchers who throw from way back like whyte / wilder will /do find it hard to land the punches they landed on there previous victims.

    they still have power .

Stiverne is impossible to 1 punch KO. His cholesterol and blood sugar levels are so high that his blood is basically syrup. Its like trying to knock out a man made of jelly.

The same goes for Parker aswell. And most definitly Wilder if he finally decides to step up in class like Whyte and Parker.

But People mix up precision with power considering Wilder. One or two good placed shots behind the ears are not the same as a powerful 250 pound straight right down the pipe.

I don't think you can deny that Wilder has power. That's about the one thing he does have going for him. It's a whipping, wind up kind of power though that requires space to land, which makes him dangerous on the outside, less so on the inside where his lack of technique and heavy handedness let him down.
