Do you folks actually understand anything at all about Meldonium or the effects of it on the body?

Obviously not if you're talking about taking PEDs, steroids, and maintaining his shape, etc.

    It's embarrassing to read.

I was a huge Helenius fan several years ago when I would sit in the supermarket and read The Ring magazine front to back before purchasing it and then going home and doing it again.

He was a completely different fighter back then, and when he injured himself severely before the Chisora match he was never the same with a completely destroyed shoulder, broken wrists, knuckles, etc. He's a shell of himself.

The Helenius of years ago would never have been KO'd by Duhaupas. Period.

It took me all of ten minutes to find out:

    1) The amount in Povetkin's body was under the legal limit and that the effects of such an amount are zero
    2) Nobody knows exactly how long it takes for mildronat to excrete
    3) The advantages of the substance are debatable and is nothing comparable to actual hard peds

By the time I had researched that, Wilder was on the jet with the engines burning cherry-red, texting somebody to collect his luggage from the hotel.

If that's the case then Wilder is in urgent need of an upgrade to his IQ. Instead of saying "I'll fight him anyway" and coming off as a stud when the WBC canned the fight, he ran his motor mouth and managed to talk himself into a multimillion dollar lawsuit against a billionaire :patsch

It's a comparison between an overweight fighter with bals (Galento) going into a fight with an ATG that everybody expected him to lose .... versus a scroatless beanpole with every physical advantage (Wilder) against a guy that people say is trash (Povetkin).

Just thought I'd throw it out there for reference.

Good post. With his dimensions and power he could be exceptional. Instead he's fighting professional weed evaluators and carnival fat men and pretending he has bals. And running his mouth every time he manages to dispose of the latest no-hoper

Trailer park? I've driven through a trailer park twice in my life. Good try though...for a school yard insult.

"Some experts said that the evidence for such claims was scant and that it
was not even clear if the drug improves athletic performance. And they said there
was little reason for someone like Sharapova to have taken it to treat her medical
conditions, as she says she did."

“The evidence around whether it is a performance*enhancing drug is quite
thin,” said Mark Stuart, a pharmacist in London who is on the medical and
antidoping commission of the European Olympic Committees.

The reason that it still showed up his system is because of the manner in which it is excreted for months afterward, in a nonlineral manner, which means that urine will show up clean for several tests, and then dirty, and then clean, etc. This is exactly why he was cleared.

“Although the half-life of Meldonium from the body is only four to six hours, his total time of elimination from the body much longer. Because of nonlinear pharmacokinetics (dozozavisimoe) of Meldonium its complete excretion from the body may take several months”, – said the head of the Department of communication “Grindeks” Laila kļaviņa, which is quoted by TASS.

And of course given the geography this is why it shows up primarily in former Soviet states.

"Meldonium is included in the list of prohibited substances in sports of the higher achievements from 1 January 2016. Since then, the World anti-doping Agency (WADA) found this substance in 100 samples. Given the fact that Meldonium is widespread in the post-Soviet space, and beyond the borders of the former USSR athletes continue legally to accept his counterparts, the majority of victims of drug you can imagine this region."

Do you think that Joshua can seem more stiff and stationery at times though?

Wilder is so uncoordinated for a top HW. Joshua is without a doubt a better athlete. more coordinated, way better punching mechanics etc.
