Here we go again. Well, Takam did beat Botha ... so, apparently, he must be awesome.:patsch:roll:

Every name on Takam's resume who he defeated was in their 40s when he faced them.

Takam might beat Duhaupas when Duhaupas is in his 40s. Right now, though, Duhaupas wins.

Exactly. He is legitimizing the WBA title for the purpose of this thread so what are you talking about?:huh

He created it. Neither is the lineal champion. They are titlists. Both guys hold a belt and he's saying that Wilders reign is on par with Povetkin. What exactly are you saying?

Is that what you do? Wait for someone else to say something ... and then it's okay for you to repeat it?

I thought so. That's what I gathered from your posts. You're just regurgitating dozens of comments from other people and passing them off as your own.

Yes, based on their recent performances IN THE RING, I'd pick Duhaupas over Povetkin right now. I don't have to "WAIT" for someone else to say it first. Or for several people to say it before I do.

Povetkin wasn't world champion, he was regular champion while Wlad was world champion. That's the difference.

Its better by a considerable margin. Even Liakhovich and Scott are better wins than Huck , Boswell , Wawrzyk and Rahman.

And Wilder is a legitimate title holder. Povetkin was never a HW champ in his life.

I love how some guys are out on a cola-fuelled rant, trashing Povetkin and everybody he ever fought as practically worthless.

    OK.

For the sake of argument, Povetkin is an old, giant-headed bum who is manifestly worse than Duhaupas and who basically never fought or beat anybody of worth in his entire career.

    Now I ask one question.

IF Povetkin is that bad, WHY is Wilder ducking him?

When the news that there could be a problem with Povetkin's VADA test, broke, Wilder flew back so fast that the skid marks on the runway are still smoking. Pretty pathetic for a mighty champion to drop a load in his pants at the thought of facing a worthless old bum with nanograms of mildronat in his blood, which may or may not help recovery times from training ... isn't it?

How does Wilder still hold the belt if he ducked his mandatory obligation ? :huh

All this will bring in is a rash of over-@nalyzed BS from wannabe experts. Neither of those runs are worth arguing about. Probably not going to stop the idiots anyway. :patsch

As It was clearly seen in Teper/Rossy fight, Duhaupas is roughly on the same level as Derric Rossy. The Frenchman is probably the most overrated fighter on here since he beat Helenius, he's still the guy who lost to Pianeta and Teper and barely edged out a SD over Charr who got KTFOd by a cruiserweight prospect.. It's utterly idiotic to suggest he's better than anyone Povetkin beat, him beating Povetkin is a whole new level of idiocity.

Oh Christ. Duhaupas fought Pianeta EIGHT YEARS AGO. Of course he's not the same fighter. Is Manny Pacquiao the same fighter today as he was when he fought David Diaz for the lightweight title that year?

Duhaupas is a top 10 heavyweight right now. He blasted our Helenius. He fought Wilder toe-to-toe for 11 rounds. In the same time period, Povetkin has been cycling his pills and going 12 with Wach, and failing drug tests and getting fights pushed back and called off.

Fighters change from fight to fight. Fighters age. Fighters taking PEDs change when they take them and then they are forced to get off them. (See Roy Jones vs. John Ruiz and Roy Jones vs. Antonio Tarver 1.)

    Nothing is static.

Three years ago, I'd take Helenius over Duhaupas. Now, I wouldn't.

I'd take a 33-year-old Povetkin over Duhaupas, too, no problem. Today, I take Duhaupas over the pill-popping, failed drug tests, 37-year-old Povetkin.
