I was already hoping Arreola would knock him silly by some lucky punch, but with the showboating I really wanted to see him get "Campbelled" and end up drooling on the canvas.
The guys dance moves are as awkward and uncoordinated as his boxing. He probably thinks he's giving the crowd something entertaining to watch but in reality it's embarrassing. Compare his gyrating hips and wiggles to the Ali shuffle, Leonard's Bolo punch, Whitaker's crazy elusiveness, Jones Jr's behind the back knockdown, Eubank's posing it's laughable in comparison.
Ran from Povetkin and make no mistake now he is running from him and he has the nerve to showboat on an overmatched fighter who shouldn't have been in the ring with him. Disgraceful. Not to mention he looks like an uncoordinated moron doing it. And the reason I say he is running from Povetkin is you can see the coordinated effort by the broadcast to discredit Povetkin and Wilder's complete ducking of even mentioning him as an opponent. The broadcast said Povetkin failed his drug test - with little nuance or insight to what transpired- or the fact that Povetkin will likely be cleared - and Wilder only talks of unifying belts. The reporter didn't even bring up the situation. TOTAL FRAUD CLOWN SHOW
It's a shame he won't cut out the showboating and fight legit opposition. Bullying lesser heavyweights whilst avoiding the best the division has to offer isn't a good look. Fury, Wlad, AJ, Ortiz, Povetkin and Parker all make light work of the champ IMO. Something tells me he'll find a way to avoid all of them for at least another 2-3 'fights'.
Oh get over it you unhinged babies, Jesus. Leonard/Ali did it all the time, who gives a ****?! He was entertaining as hell and blew Arreola out of the ring :nod\ This man has some of the best dance moves in the game.
I like showboating from time to time, but Wilder's version of it (along with his general interviews) is cringeyworthy. I really, really want to like Wilder, have tried for years now, but it's tough. I wish he would just be normal instead of this clearly forced personality which has so far done nothing for his popularity in the states.
