Fury was 350 pounds 7 months ago

He was 280 pounds in his comeback fight

He is now almost at 260...

His in shape fighting weight is 250-260. He just needs to get his conditioning up to par and he is ready. He is more focused than he was throughout his whole stint from 2014-2016.

Haymon tried to unify Wilder and Martin's titles but the WBC and Povetkin wouldn't have any of it as Wilder had already been champion for over 12 months and had yet to make a mandatory defence.

Strange that Haymon was willing to throw Martin at Povetkin to protect Wilder from Povetkin. Even weirder that Povetkin said no, would have been a very easy path to a title.

Imagine if Povetkin had said yes to Martin, Joshua might still just be a contender trying to get a title shot with Wilder WBC champion, Povetkin IBF and Wlad probably would of fought Ortiz for the vacant WBA belt. Maybe Joshua would of gotten the WBO belt instead of Parker.

"Multiple sources say that Haymon tried to make a title unification bout between Wilder and Martin but the WBC refused to release Wilder from his obligation to fight mandatory challenger Alexander Povetkin. Then, in a further effort to protect Wilder, an overture was made to Team Povetkin to see if the Russian would fight Martin instead but the Povetkin camp said no."

    I hope for his sake.

I'm not a Wilder fan at all, but one thing that guy can do is hit. If Fury isn't in good shape, Wilder will twist his neck round like a spring. I'm not surprised Wilder is keen to fight the slob version of Fury instead of say, Povetkin.

The fight won't happen, but Fury will school him if it does.

Would actually love to see this, if Fury shows up in top form, Wilder could overtake Joshua with a W I feel.

Anyway Matchroom clearly don't want Wilder at the moment, so this is the next best thing for Wilder for sure.

It's a no-risk scenario for Fury. If he wins then he confirms his position as a great Heavyweight beyond any doubt and if he loses, well, he'll get the benefit of the doubt because of his long lay-off and people will say he's not the fighter he used to be and he'll get a good payday out of it.

Would a Furious vs Wilderbeast fight be a 50-50 split on Brit ppv?

I was more disappointed by the mentality he showed than his conditioning.

Oh come on, nobody should be falling for this any more. It's clear what Wilder's team and Fury's team are trying to do here. They are trying to make AJ look bad. You can never trust what comes out of Tyson Fury's mouth, nor can you trust what comes out of Deonkey and his moneygrabbing squad.

I can pretty much guarantee this will end in a 'the money for both parties is not quite suitable' excuse or something similar and then they'll go their separate ways and maybe meet a year or two down the line.

That's awesome...serves Hearn and AJ right, that said I don't like this fight stylistically for Wilder, Fury makes it ugly and wins a mauling sh!tfest of a decision.

"I can reveal negotiations are going very strong for December. We are almost done with this deal.

"But I won't be looking over Francesco Pianeta. He's going to give me the right fight, and the right work to prepare me for Deontay Wilder.

"I've got to flatten him first, and then Wilder, let's dance.

"Prepare well, let's get the deal done and then I'm going to knock you [Wilder] spark out too."

This would be a great way to end 2018.
2 HW fights, winner of both meet hopefully before summer of next year, that's too long, but this is boxing.

If this fight happens it will take all the wind out of AJ's fight. Wilder & Fury will talk mad smack from now until...
