Who's defences are better? Being honest...

  1. Wilder

  2. Vitali

Kirk Johnson was an eliminator. Not a title fight.

Also, Szpilka and Molina both beat Adamek. Molina knocked him out in Poland. (LOL)

Can I use that excuse when people say Wilder hasn't fought anyone? (LOL)

Jesus. This site. It'll give you whiplash.

Wilder's title run was better, but Vitali's win over Sanders is better than anything Wilder has achieved. And Sanders would KO Wilder early.

Going by this thread and premise I am obviously using Adamek circa 2010? when he fought Vitali, not the one that had been visually slowing down.

Kirk Johnson, I will cede to you, that was an eliminator

    Vitali Klitschko
    Two Time WBC Champion

WBC Emeritus Champion (which he used to come back and beat Sam Peter with no tuneup after 4 years out of the Ring)
    WBO Champion
    Ring Magazine Champion

Never knocked down, lost only a handful of rounds, never ducked anyone, would fight all comers including being willing to travel to fight

    Deontay Wilder
    WBC Champion

Ducked legit contenders, refused to fight Mandatory opponents, would not travel to fight, benefited from dubious and crooked referees and judges. Was coddled and protected for the majority of his career.

Folks, even if you hate Vitali Klitschko (it is your right to do such) you have to look at all the circumstances and accolades involved here. Do you think for one second Vitali Klitschko would have been scared to fight any Mandatory or Top Contender presented to him? I don't. Say what you will about either Klitschko brother but they would fight anyone anywhere anytime and proved it (other than each other of course)

    Vitaly by far.
He beat Peter, WBC champ who defeated Toney, McCline and Maskaev.

He beat Sanders, WBO champ, who beat Wlad Klitschko.

    He beat Briggs, WBC champ
Shannon has wins over prime Liakovitch (WBO champ), McCline and George Foreman.

Kirk Johnson, who has wins over Savarese, Maskaev and Donald.

    Gomez WBC cruserweight champ

    Prime Arreola.

    Young Chisora.

Adamek, who beat Grant, Canningham, Arreola, Golota.

    Solis

Wilder, didn't defeat any World champs, except for old shot Liakowitch, who lost multiple times by KO prior to fighting Wilder.
Stevern won his vacant title only after Vitaly retired and didn't have any decent wins in his entire career.
Ortiz's best win is Jennings. A C minus fighter at best. Almost got KOed by Dimitrenko.
Others like Molina or Shpilka are C minus fighters at best with no significant victories.
Even Dustin Nicols looks good on Wilder's resume.

You can use it and what’s more is it honestly makes sense. 22 year old Mike Tyson is different than the 38 year old, almost 39 year old Mike Tyson who lost to Mcbride. However both Evander Holyfield and Kevin McBride can say they beat Mike Tyson. One of those wins simply has more value... do you not see that?

It's close, as I said, though it was clear Sanders was in worse condition for Vitali. Lack of motivation? Age? Both? He gassed after two rounds.

Old as Ortiz was/is, he was in shape for Wilder.
