Wilders win against Ortiz good rather than great.

Looked at in an objective light Wilders win against Ortiz was hardly sensational. Outboxed for most of the contest against the smaller man and one punch away from being knocked out in round 7 Wilder showed spirit and determination to get through the contest. However one has to say Ortiz , who many suspected was already on the slide, showed something of a front runner/bully mentality in the fight when things weren't going his way. Used to having his own way in the ring Ortiz rather crumbled when the going got tough. I predict Ortiz will only have a further couple of fights before fading into obscurity. A good win for Wilder but hardly great.

Taken into the context of his resume, it's great.

I agree. I was a good win, but would've been a much better win for Wilder if Ortiz were 2-3 years younger. Ortiz messed up royally by leaving golden boy and signing with Hearn, since Hearn had no intention of letting him fight Joshua and simply wasted his time.
