    Vasquez is better fighter

  2. If you notice, once Sonsona realizes his straight left hands weren't having the effect he wanted, he seemed to be out of ideas and started hanging around the ropes. He didn't seem to know what to do when the straight left hand wasn't working.

He was definitely the better fighter tonight. I still think Sonsona is more talented, but his heart doesn't seem all there.

even with this win i think vazquez is too slow of hands.. even when he had him in the ropes he didnt throw combinations he was just throwing one punch.. he needs to learn quick cause with another guy he'll get outpointed

I definitely think Sonsona has the skills, but I think they're trying too hard to look for the "next Pacman" and not taking time to develop their fighters properly, the moment a Pinoy prospect gets a good win, he gets rushed into fights that are out of his league. I mean, jumping 2 weights and putting him against an undefeated heavy hitter?

I hope Marvin recovers from this loss well, he's got the skills, he needs the experience now...

props to Vasquez, he capitalized on the weaknesses of Sonsona and just banged him hard...

Apparently Vazquez is very religious. He mentions God in every sentence. He says he wants to be one of the top boxers in the world . He said he didn't have any amateur experience so he is working to be in TOP shape at all times to compensate for the lack of experience.

The puerto rican was too strong. I knew he would win because he is a very good offensive fighter. Marvin had to move up, wasn't strong enough. He felt the puerto rican's punches tonite.

He stayed too long on the ropes mate..And most of those shots were flush. No excuse maybe he was rushed but tonight he was exposed. Not as good as I thought he was.I still hope he learns from this..

Yeah, Marvin's frame couldn't take the body punishment from the bigger guy just yet. The kid's still very young though, hopefully he starts filling out that frame so he can hang in there with the big guys...
