I think Sonsona needs this. He has the talent but his early success has gotten to his head. Hope he can bounce back from this.

I hope Vazquez stays focus and dont let fame get to his head. He really trained hard for this fight and it paid off. keep it up kid!
I picked Sonsona to win because of his amateur background. I forget sometimes that pro's are call pro's for a reason, and being a great amateur don't mean you will become a great pro.
However I do think that Sonsona is the real deal and he just needed a wake up call. I think the jump in weight, and fighting in a different country and probably people telling him he is the next Manny has a lot to do with him loosing tonight. I think he got the tools to be great and as he matures, he will become a champ, and stay champ for a long time.

NOPE it's called experience with ricans and mexicans different level all together. I didn't buy all that jazz about vasquez not having am career.Yeah he didn't.But If you have a father like that, it's in the blood.Now Sonsona was poor in defence.I believe the problem here is Donaire Snr has ruined this kid style it's completely changed he is way too defensive more like a counter puncher and Ga olani (manager) is an idiot for taking fights with anyone, anywhere. LOL.They never learn. :rofl

 

I agree DOnaire Senior may not be the best fit for him, but fighting anyone, anywhere is the reason filipinos are getting a bit more recognized than the thais or the nippons.

Man, I used to think Donaire Sr would be a great trainer given that he trained Jr. I couldn't be more off with my judgement. I wonder who would make good trainers for Sonsona? The Penalosas? They can't all go to Roach
