I don’t think Benitez can rate higher than Duran. His resume is just too stacked with great wins and achievements. I DO however feel that Benitez was awesome and perhaps even underrated.

Benitez was a special fighter, who, with the right backing, may could have turned out better than Duran, but Duran is definitely greater.

Benitez was a brilliant would beat Duran ten out of ten .But Durans longevity will probably never been matched. The bloke is unbelievable .if a fictional character in a film was him people would say it was far fetched..Won the light weight title the year before I was born .still fighting at a high level when I was in my twenties .incredible

No, Duran (IMO) has higher place at all time ratings, but Benitez is ATG too. Wilfred has insane record that still stands today (youngest champ alltime and youngest champ at 3 divisions). And he has great opposition (Cervantes, Duran, Palomino, Hope, Santos, Shields, Curry, Weston, Ranzany, Villa - solid scalps)

    Accomplishments: Duran
    Competition: Duran
    Longevity: Duran

I won’t get into the intangibles like skill, power etc because these three I mentioned are enough and mostly not seriously debatable. However it is a fun question to think about.

Prime H2H at 147 or 160 I take Duran. Perhaps not at 154 but Duran that beat Moore or Quevas would be a handful.
