    Papa Benetiz was trying to sell his 'son' for $150,000, plus 10% of his future fight purses.
    Of course, he wanted to make advisory decisions on fight opponents.

    Great thread like almost all of them . klompton and TheGreatA really went out of their way 2 defend 1 of d clearest robberies ever , their usual "expert" stuff .

    I was there that night,,,,,,,,,,,,'a friggin robbery'.

    Bruce Curry was all class, as he did not complain, and
    just excepted it as a 'hometown decision'.

    He said, 'everyone in the Garden knew he had won the bout, and that was allright with him'.

    Not too many guys around that humble.

    don't thank me , i m just stating d obvious , because i discovered that here , d obvious's opposite is usually d consensus . u r d 1 who deserves thanks 4 sharing all of your archived information with us , 1 Pepe spares hard work from 25 Stonehands89s , 4 those who know what i mean , and i don't care if they'll object , just 2 different types of great contributors .

    Bruce Curry buckled the legs of Wilfred Benitez, with the first decent punch
    he landed, a left hook.

    He never fully recovered.

    Man,,,,,,,were we screaming for Bruce to finish him off.
