Yeah, Jose did a great job scoring with the face to Monzon's right hand.

Definitly, the cuts are a problem. I just dont see Benitez taking the iniative enough to force a cuts stoppage

Napoles was, at his best, one of the greatest and most beautiful to watch fighters ever. He was smooth as his nickname, was a master of every punch in the book and was so lethal on top of everything else. He would have stopped Benitez..another favorite of mine, after patiently stalking and cutting the ring off on him. This would have been a particularly impressive highlight reel fight for Napoles, as he would have stopped Wilfred in 7 after hurting him numerous times throughout the fight. Napoles would have won more impressively than SRL and much faster and more emphatically. Pinpoint accuracy with his shots would have been the key for Napoles, who wouldn't have swung from the rafters at anytime in trying to tag the elusive El Radar...he would have scored with fast but light jabs and shots to the body..just "getting in there punches" that would have landed to just score points...then Jose would have switched gears suddenly after a few rounds of that and surprised Benitez with his sudden lethal power. Napoles would have had nothing to fear about getting hurt in return. The ability to snake through an opponent's guard..even an opponent like Benitez...with lethal shots was a hallmark of Napoles' style. Napoles was super accurate with deadly power, or else he could methodically grind you to pieces like he did poor Curtis Cokes.

Bit over the top no?.I think Benitez had enough in his locker to stop from getting carved up in a one sided thrashing.Especially if it's just a one-off best on best scenario.

No Lora, I wasn't saying Napoles would have carved up or ground down Benitez..I was just describing how Napoles was capable of winning that way, ala Curtis Cokes (both times)..it depended on the opponent..I'm saying that Napoles would have ko'ed Benitez outright with an accurate bomb or two..and he was capable of threading the needle even with Benitez..at his very best, Napoles was gifted in being able to land single, accurate and deadly punches..and Benitez (I'm a fan of his) was not gifted with the best set of whiskers..Napoles was uniquely able to catch Benitez with an accurate, lethal shot.
