Benitez had a couple of great showings at jr.middle-Hope,Duran.
Mccallum is an all-time great at this weight class.Who wins and why?

Benitez by decision for me, too slick and a bad matchup for Mike IMO.

McCallum late TKO after breaking him down. Early going would be close with McCallum landing harder shots, more bodyshots, Benitez outboxing at times but McCallum is too strong at the weight, relentless while being technically great

I think Benitez reached his physical prime at 154. He fought great fights against Duran and Hope and gave Hearns a pretty good go. I think he'd be a little too slick for McCallum and be able to avoid McCallum wearing him down and out to the body. Benitez by close decision.

I like McCallum by KO in this one. Even though Benitez may have had great defensive abilities, the bigger, stronger Mike will break him down with his body assault.

He rarely was able to do that unless the opponent played his game and allowed himself to be caught up in a war. McCallum was a very good body-puncher in that he never neglected the body in his assaults, but he wasn't some demoralizing body-snatcher that his nickname implied. Guys like Chavez, Duran, Arguello, etc were all better in that regard, and more deliberate.

Close one that could go either way, but I think Mike takes it by Md with his late round body work.

McCallum would be steady...but might not be quite fast enough to catch up to Benitez.

Benitez was arguably at his best at 154.

I think Benitez outboxes McCallum. Wilfred was better than anyone Mike fought at 154 by far, and Wilfred fought great at 154. Almost his best weight.
