Wilfred Benitez vs Vernon Forest at 147

I cannot see Vernon beat a great like Benitez. Benitez went 15 with Duran and Hearns at 154 and almost a full 15 with Ray at 147. Duran and Hearns couldn't really land on him, how is Vernon going to win this? Vernon had a good win over Mosley, but Shane is always in guy's punching range. Shane was quick so his defense was his offense with the speed of his counters. But Benitez defense was upper body movement and an underrated punch so it would not have been Vernon outjabbing Wilfred and landing his right hand. Duran and Hearns and Leonard did not just walk in on him, and they would have if it were easy. I just think Wilfred is a level above Vernon, who was very very good.

 

Lost to Hearns and Leonard. Beat Duran who at 154 was worse than prime Mosley at 147 (yes, I said that. Mosley's 147 wins outshine Duran's 154 resume).

The reason I'm picking Vernon, though, is because of styles. He'll stay at distance, leave absolutely nothing to counter, and play a waiting game with Benitez. The result would be a tactical fight that Vernon shows an edge in.
