I know Bradley is hated on here but i thought he was a very good fighter. Only lost to Pacquaio which is no embarrassement. How do you think he would fare against Benitez at light welterweight and welterweight?

Bradley will make it competitive for a few rounds but I just think Benitez is too defensively sound and crafty to be pushed around by the smaller guy. Benitez would be countering and beating Bradley to the punch all fight and win by lopsided decision.

Bradley vs Carlos Palomino would be a more even fight IMO.

Ahem. Provodnikov beat him by any measure other than some either incompetent or compromised judging.

Otherwise, if Wilfredo trained I see him fending off Bradley and taking a comfortable but well-earned decision. There is always the chance he doesn't train and Bradley is able to outhustle him but I'm sticking with the best version.

At 140, I’d take Bradley. Benitez was still a literal child at this point irrespective of the fact that he was a phenom, while Bradley’s run at 140 was very good (and quite underrated), he was big for the weight, and he was well-rounded and experienced enough to capitalise on Benitez’ laziness and lack of experience or focus. An in form Benitez at 147 would be the favourite over Bradley, but it would be a very tough fight for him.

Tim Bradley was great. But Wilfred Benitez was greater.

IS Tim hated on here? I can't really remember him coming up much on classic. I am definitely a fan. I considered him p4p top 5-10 for some length of time, I think. He produced some of the most interesting boxing of his day, for my money. I don't really like how he matches up with Wilfred though. A match with someone like Cuevas might be more the type of curiosity for me.
