I'm surprised that Fenech is winning this question overwhelmingly.

I respect anybody who takes Fenech, but I'd go with Gomez. Fenech's relentless pressure and physical strength would give Gomez Hell, but in the end, I think Jeff leaves too many defensive openings not to get exploited by Gomez's devastating power and great counterpunching.

Gomez by late KO in what would probably be one of the best fights ever.

Wilfredo Gomez, after a spirited battle, would destroy Jeff Fenech.

I just don't see Gomez beating French? Surprised by the results really. I see a close fight but Fenechs pressure sees him in the lead on the cards and wears Gomez down in the later rounds. I lean towards French stopping him 11-12, or an 8-4/7-5 type decision. Either way I pick Fenech in this fight

Fenech by decision. He was as strong as Gomez and could take Gomez's power. He was in better shape and busier and would dominate the late rounds for a decision. Also, Gomez beat a lot of mediocrities at 122 lbs. His best wins were over Zarate and Pintor who were moving up from 118 lbs.

Edit: Oh, I already posted .

Well, at least I am consistent.

    Lol @ Barrera and Morales.

Gomez was a class above both those guys at 122.
