Gomez beats them all IMO. Would be some great wars though. The only people I can see maybe getting to Gomez at 122 is people like Jofre, McGovern, Fenech.

Morales and Barrera are live dogs but they would need to be perfect. Morales had a tendency to engage in firefights which is not the smartest move against Gomez at this weight. MAB is adaptable enough to give him the stiffest test but I think he would come up short.

I mentioned Gomez vs Morales in the 25 fantasy fights thread. Unbelievable war, but I think Gomez wins, by stoppage.

I think Morales and Barrera would be very competitive but ultimately both lose.
I think Jones and McKinney both get blown out

I get called a Gomez detractor but at this weight Fenech is really the only guy I favor over Gomez that fought in this division. At FW and SFW Gomez is vastly overrated in a h2h sense. But here he was a monster.

Don't need to know their names. After Monzon/Duran, superbantamweight Gomez is the best I ever saw. Gomez by KO whoever it is at 122.

    He beats them all.

    Gomez was the 122 GOAT.

Same here Morlocks...Gomez was up there with Monzon, Duran and Napoles for me...the best. He was the master at 122 and would have ko'ed every one of them, even MAB, whom I hold in the highest esteem. The Morales fight would show the Mexican warrior going out on his shield...badly battered and beaten. Say what you want to about Bazooka and his misadventures at 127 and beyond, at 122, he was the Undisputed King!!

I think he may have meant 122lbs, as in the super bantamweight division

It's really hard to picture anyone beating Gomez at 122, kind of like picking someone to beat Duran at lightweight or Robinson at welterweight.

Having said that, I don't see Morales getting blown out by anyone at jnr feather, not even Gomez. That's the fight that excites me most here, although Barrera-Gomez would likely be a thriller too.

But beating Gomez? Sorry, I just can't quite picture it.

-Poster makes clear and obvious statement.
-Ra's Al Ghul willfully misunderstands clear and obvious statement.
    -Rinse and repeat.

Fenech would be the only guy i'd give much of a chance. He'd have to use his extraordinary strength at the weight, smother Gomez and go full bully mode. Gomez can generate serious power in close so it's a tough ask.

Nobody knocks Morales out at 122. Come on now.
