I was thinking the same thing myself when I typed it and was going to just put Morales name in there. But, I think Barrera would have landed his own fair share of shots early before being stopped in the middle rounds of a 12 round fight. Morales, I think he sees the distance, but he gets beaten clearly in a competitive fight. Just my thoughts. Barrera and Morales were outstanding 122lbs fighters in their own right, and had great offensive tools.

Wilfredo Gomez was like a mutant alien space invader in the 70's, and was brutally superior to anybody then. On top of it all, was the fact that he obviously enjoyed his work, and carried it out with a certain coldness.

Barrera was too gung-ho ar 122. Trading with the accurate and powerful Gomez is not a great idea. He gets stopped

Morales I have discussed in great length. He'd get stopped late to. Bar Jofre I wouldn't pick too many to last the distance over 12, let alone 15.

I love both Pac and Barrera, both both would get snuffed out by Gomez.

Pacquaio is pre-prime but he is still by far the best opponent Gomez would fight at 122, by far the fastest and by far the biggest puncher. Pac is unbeaten at the weight too and knocked everyone out except the Sanchez TD. Pac also is pretty much the same fighter who dominated Barrera at 126.

Easy pickings? I think not. I actually fancy Pac's speed/power to upset Gomez to pull off the win despite his 1 dimensionalness at this weight, its not like Gomez is that hard to hit and Pac could do it time and again with big shots

Thats utter crap..He fought Pintor and Zarate. No way a 122 Pac is "by far" better then anyone of those guys if at all.

Pac is clearly the fastest but I dont think he is "by far" a bigger pure puncher then Zarate or Meza.

I actually do think its a great fight aswell..A little while back I would have picked Manny but now Ive had a good look at more prime Gomez there is very, very little chance he doesnt chew up Manny here.

the Pac that fought Ledwaba would lose to Gomez, no doubt.

Gomez mid round stoppage. Unfortunately it takes more than a good one two to beat Gomez and at this weight that was all that Manny offered.

I also think Morales would have given Gomez a very good close fight. Although I still think Gomez takes the fight.

    100% & some:deal

Any version of Manny gets the bazooka treatment, expect the usual systematic shredding process to be compleated by the 6th:smoke
