At his best weight of 122lbs. These are of course hypothetical versions of these fighters (weight wise), so this may seem a bit finicky. I chose these as a 122lb division would have been perfect for them to stop at.

    Fighting Harada
    Eder Jofre
    Ruben Olivares

    How does he do?

Stops Olivares after a hard fight.

    Destroys Harada.

Probably beats Jofre on a close decision. Maybe stops him late, but I doubt it.

Jofre knocks him out after about 9-10 epic rounds.

The reverse happens against Olivares and Harada. Maybe sooner.

I previously would have said 2-1, but I've changed my mind on a Gomez-Jofre matchup... I'd be more comfortable taking Gomez at the weight.

    So, he goes 3-0, imo.

So does he beat a prime Jofre in his 20s at Super Bantam and then lose to an old, post-retirement Jofre in his 30s four pounds north? Or does he beat Jofre at Featherweight as well?

I think he beats both at both. I rewatched Jofre vs Legra the other night and Gomez from Laporte and Sanchez was clearly better IMO. Jofre had slowed massively.

Jofre vs Gomez at 122 is basically 50/50. No quarrel with either pick, to be frank.

Obviously Sahaprom KOs both. And Sanchez while he's at it.

Well, I guess it’s a matter of opinion. I think Jofre at Feather was a full head and shoulders above Gomez in class. Legra, too.

Gomez had 3 meaningful fights there, losing 2 by KO and winning a lopsided decision over Zombie LaPorte. I’d back the 40 year old Jofre from his last career fight against Octavio Gomez to beat the Wilfredo Gomez from the LaPorte and Nelson fights.

Yeah, LaPorte didn’t let his hands go but I think Gomez looked sharp. The way his legs went in the Nelson fight lead me to believe Jofre, he was still strong and good for 10, 12, 15 rounds in his late 30s would beat Gomez at 126. Plus Legra is a super tall featherweight with an absurd reach and a lot of speed, I can’t see Gomez post-Sanchez beating him.

As for Gomez vs. those three in his prime of 122. I can see Harada getting the better of him for quite a while but would trust Gomez to catch him and finish him and I think an Olivares fight would be brutal but he’d come out on top. His straighter punches being the difference. Jofre beats Gomez based on him knowing he wouldn’t go toe-to-toe and being the more durable of the two. It would be a highly skillful aggressive boxing match.

    Lightweight Duran shamelessly ducked Sahaprom.
