"Bazooka" vs the "Will-o'-the Wisp" (in their primes)

Gomez moves up and tries to take the Featherweight title
    away from Willie Pep.

    15 rds.

    Who wins?

I think Pep, Gomez wasnt nearly as effective when he moved up and I think he has enough gaps in his D that Pep could capitlise on.

But Im not really qualified to give a proper analysis, as I havent seen enough of Gomez's prime. Most of what I have seen are his post 122 days, which of course dont do him justice.

Pep schools Gomez, winning 11 out of 15 rounds for a UD.

Hard to say, Sanchez wasn't exactly knocking everyone dead when he fought Gomez, yet he was able to KO "Knocking-everyone-out" Gomez in 8 rounds.
(Pillowfist Ali KO'd George Foreman in 8 rounds, coincidence?)

Gomez and Pep were ****ing Gods in my book; Pep wins, decision.

Keep in mind Gomez was a pretty cagey boxer himself, constantly giving angles when fighting.

Featherweight was Pep's all to his own, he only got stopped after a near fatal plane crash and against a bigger, stronger, dirtier?, harder punching and more durable banger in Saddler. Gomez wasn't as effective at Feather and was a fan of the cocainum, so i take Pep by dec.

    Gomez would be plenty competitive.
