Just how great is Bazooka Gomez? Where abouts in a 100 ATG list would you place him? I frequently hear people talk about how great he is, and while I don't disput his greatness I don't find him quite as great as others make him out to be. He was agreat SBW champ, but gets made out to be as almost unbeatable at that weight. First I don't find it to be that deep of a division, so that does not overwhelm me....2nd I think there are quite a few people who are on par and/or could beat him at that weight....FW he does not really seem great at all.

I know this sounds negative, and I will admit that I am not a Gomez fan, but I am just curious as to why and where people rank him amongst other atg's??

@ SBW how does he fare against/ and do you rate Gomez as greater than:

    Pac
    MAB
    Morales
    Fenech
    I. Vazquez
    Rafa
    McKinney
    junior jones

I would say the first 4 would be ones I would favor to beat him and rate above him, the others as on par with him but probably a notch below....How about you is Gomez the best SBW or where does he rank, and where does he stack up among the greats of the past in a top 100 type list?

Fenech gives him the best fight at super bantam IMO.

He could be perfect with he wanted to be. I actually think Morales would give him all he could handle when on, so to speak. I think he knocks Barrera out. I have not considered a pac Gomez fight but I think he was much easier to outbox at that stage; he doesn't really become pacman until Morales beats him.

Also, at super bantam Gomez would terrorise the Pac' that beat Ledwaba. Barrera and Morales too gung ho for Bazooka IMO. Morales unlikely to use his boxing so don't think he'll use his size to offset Gomez either.

Rafa and Vasquez are both tough, durable punchers but so were Hwong and Meza. Gomez would decimate the pair of 'em, Vasquez especially and I love Izzy.

Flea would you consider Gomez in that ratified air of Khaosai Galaxy and Ricardo Lopez of owning a young division in every category: H2H, resume, achievement.

Yes. Khaosai not so much but for me Gomez is a higher end Lopez. Better opposition.

Nah, better oppo' at 122 than Lopez had at straw! Was only figuring in their reigns at 105 and 122 respectively.

Will do. I'm sure there'll be plenty of people telling me I'm just not well acquainted enough with Lopez's opposition, but they'll be wrong :hey
