Pintor fight for sure. People usually talks of Wilfredo's skills and power when talking about his greatness, but for me, his mettle was even greater than those facets. He had no right to win the Pintor fight, he looked utterly gassed by the mid rounds, but somehow he found a way. His performance in the Sanchez fight was impressive too, in it's way. He somehow managed to claw his way back into the fight despite being concussed early on. Agree with everyone else on the Lockridge fight being a joke decision. Not a win for Wilfredo.
Pintor was his Manila. Of those bouts not previously mentioned, he did get bloodied up in his defense against Duran's professional debut opponent Carlos Mendoza, arguably his most punishing match prior to the Sanchez loss.
Latter career undoubtably. Early career prior to disregarding so many of his skills not so much. But yes, his mettle was incredible. I put Holmes in the exact same class. When winding down his sheer mettle was the difference between winning and losing. Both would just gut it out one way or another. True, and the see sawing made for an ATG bout. 100% agree. At one stage he may have even hurt Sanchez. I don't see it quite as one sided as so many do.
