Interesting trivia nugget: Wilfredo Vazquez Sr. and Jr. are both the first Puerto Rican father and son to be world champions, as well as the first father and son combo to win world titles in the same weight class. :think

Well super bantamweight is kind of up for grabs right now. He could have a long and dominant run if he doesn't weight-climb (and featherweight is terrifying).

The only person I'd favor over him outright is Toshiaki Nishioka, who carries bigger power but is 34 and might not be in the game much longer despite finally getting big fights 16 years deep in his career.

Vazquez can probably defend his WBO title for as long as he wants to, and I'd like him in unification bouts with either Molitor or Lee. He needs to stay the hell out of Tokyo, though. Let Lee come to Bayamon (or a neutral location).

Donaire is going to knockout Montiel and make Vazquez his next target

I don't know...Donaire is comfortable wearing 112 and 115 without seeming drained and has never been higher than 118. Vazquez looks like he could outgrow super bantamweight and has officially weighed in as high as 134. He probably rehydrates to nearly that much as it is now.

Bantam might be the ceiling for Donaire. There certainly aren't a lot of big names (read: big paydays) at 122 compared to 118.

Hoping for a future Vazquez Jr/Rigondeaux match up.

If Rigondeaux gets by Cordoba that could be very interesting.

Vazquez Jr.'s improvement in the ring so far has been terrifying. If he continues he could rule super-bantam for a long time. If he moves to the featherweight division though he is ****ed. That is a scary division.

You couldn't find another boxer to fight Wilfredo than a Cuban? Typical.

    Hey, he's consistent. :yep

Plus, Guillermo is honestly probably the best up-and-comer at the weight.
