From Marciano to Frazier to Tyson, will there ever be a dominant short HW again?

I'd bet against it, buy you never know. With all the titles going around, anyone can win one on the right day. But size is an important factor these days, despite what some say.

Ya, but winning one of the titles, that wouldn't be "dominating".

Sure if James Smith, Trevor Berbick, and Tony Tucker are the champions

james, trevor and tony would be paper champs in this era and would beat most guys outside of the Kbros. Young mike had the skill, natural talent, and desire to beat everyone in this era.

I can see prime Berbick losing a decision to the Klitchkos. Tucker would be cannon fodder and Smith would have a puncher's chance. Frank Bruno also would have a decent chance against the Klitchkos. Tyrell Briggs would also be competitive against the Klitchkos.

Yeah these guys are funny.. poking fun at the 80's competition which makes this era look like dog ****. The contenders/champs in the 80's weren't great but they were solid, athletic boxers who came in shape and would make most of the top 10 of this era look like journeyman.

The Klits aren't the only big heavyweights around. To "dominate" you have to be able to beat all of them.

If the Klitschko's retired today for instance, you would still have...

    Thompson 6' 5"
    Dimitrenko 6' 7"
    Helenius 6' 6½"
    Pulev 6' 4½"
    Fury 6' 9"
Valuev 7' 1" (if he comes back)

So he would still have to be able to beat those guys also, and a couple of big up and comers...
