Um. No. It happened. Results are results, as much as this forum will try to convince you otherwise.

The loss was absolutely embarrassing. And Ruiz isn't looking so good which makes it worse

There is absolutely nothing that will expunge that skidmark. Nothing.

    What an affront.

I think you're spot on, but don't understand what's so polarising with him. He's honouring his mandatories and looking to unify. Not many soft touches since winning his first title. Whether or not one likes his style of boxing is in the end subjective (even though I don't see much to object to there either), but objectively he's clearly working toward the goal of being undisputed and that's actually quite rare today.

As for what a decisive win over Usyk would mean... Hard to say, since we have seen so little of Usyk at HW. He looked like a good but not great HW against Chisora. Maybe Chisora was a bad style match-up and maybe Usyk had a bit of an off night, but if he loses to AJ and then retires we will never know.

I still feel Ruiz will come good if he keeps in such shape as he was for his last fight. He needs to actually fight someone of substance to prove anything, though.

No, an L is an L,you either let it consume you and f**k you over,or you dust yourself off, carry on, and put it right

Id rather see if a man folds or not after a loss, than padded bullsh** and protecting fighters

No. It wasn’t just that he lost it was how he lost. He spit his mouthpiece out so he could be counted out. That display of cowardice in the face of adversity will never be forgotten.

That's a bit like Pedquiao's effort on Thurman to make up Mayweather loss lol.

No but he won the rematch and if he has has great career he'll be remembered as great despite an embarrassing loss just like Lennox or wlad or Duran.

Also ruiz is a good fighter and just like buster douglas before him is getting disrespected by ppl who are jealous.

He already dealt with that loss in the rematch. Andy Ruiz proved his unprofessionalism in the sport, could not even stay motivated and in shape for just a meagre two fights.

Roy Jones vs Montell Griffin 2 (yeah, yeah, context, but it did basically wipe it out).

Joshua can become the undisputed champ in every every weight class, 100-1, and will get **** his whole life for the whole Ruiz loss.

Nope! It will raise his stock a bit but it definitely won't erase the Ruiz loss.
