Usyk is the Ring's 10th rated heavyweight.

AJ doesn't need to wipe out the Ruiz loss. His dominance over him in the 2nd fight did that already, and him losing to an inferior opponent once doesn't take away from all his good wins.

Better fighters have lost to lesser opponents.

AJ haters will always bring that "he lost to a little fat man" regardless.

I'll just refuse to listen to them for being such idiots. Haters gonna hate.

Yes. As soon as he beats Usyk, Joshua's record will return to 22-0-0 (21 KO). Joshua will also become 2 years younger.

Should Joshua then win a Usyk rematch, he will be an amateur in his early 20s again.

What people need to realise is that having 0 losses on your record doesn't automatically make you better than someone who does have losses on their record.

Nothing wipes away a loss. They just get rendered less significant.

No. The fact that someone with the body of Adonis got bounced up and down off the canvas like a yoyo and stopped by an obese Mexican Oliver Hardy lookalike is bad enough in the eyes of the casuals but avenging that loss to an even more obese version of them by running like a thief in the night with the fear of god in your eyes everytime they got anywhere near you is even more so, especially after having previously criticized Tyson Fury's slick gypsy boxing style and accusing him of being a runner. No matter how you swing it fat running from muscle is a terrible optic to those who are unenlightened regarding the magical properties of Super Fat.

Tyson Fury isn't known for his power but look at the complete contrast regarding his approach to the rematch against The Tuscaloser. Not only did he return to his opponent's backyard and the scene of the crime he'd been robbed, but he morphed from a back foot master slickster to a front foot destroyer and literally beat the soul out of The Tuscaloser's body on his own soil and he was facing someone with a right hand so deadly that if he'd made a single mistake he could've been laid out cold on his back for a fortnight in the blink of an eye.

When the drug-ravaged inactive shell of Fury got dropped twice, the second time euthanized, there was zero fear in his eyes when he picked himself up off the canvas. He looked like he didn't have a care in the world and not once in the rematch was there the merest semblance of fear in his eyes, quite the opposite in fact and he was on hostile territory. Whereas, conversely, AJ looked positively petrified and panicky after getting dropped by Fat Andy and even more so in the rematch everytime Fat Andy got within spitting distance of him.

That being said, fans place too much emphasis on losses. With the exception of an infinitesimal few everyone takes a loss or two if not more. Even the legends of the sport lost many times. Ali lost five times and was fortunate to get the decision a few times according to many. And if not for corruption the supposed best fighter in the sport today would have numerous Ls on his ledger not just one and likewise nobody would be referring to AJ as an Olympic medalist, let alone Olympic gold medalist if not for home advantage and corruption rearing its ugly head again either.

UFC fans have a far better attitude to fighters taking loses. The importance of an 0 in Boxing is getting ridiculous now. Fighters fight, fighters lose and fighters learn.. Only keyboard warriors with an agenda really care

It would still be Joshua’s best win,Usyk with his amateur pedigree and pro accomplishments is above anybody else he has faced so far .

Nothing will wipe out the shock and embarassment of being done in by the doughboy.
