1. About every name fighter would have turned down Taylor's offer - not for thew money but for the timing. AA came back from a serious injury and his management wanted to play it save. 2. Winky was offered about $1.5 mill. to fight AA in Germany and turned it down. So there was no failure by SE or HBO. 3. Zuniga never was the mandatory but was offered an eliminator which got scratched b/c his opponent got injured. But at least he should have regained his position and not get screwed by the IBF, who postponed the eliminator first but then had the disgrace to appoint Lorenzo (the substitute for Oral) vs. Marquez (who kicked out Zuniga) for the mandatory spot. So he was robbed of the chance to be the mando but not the mando to start with. Btw, Ayala was an optional defense for AA. Oh, and Arum fears it damn much to let one of his main fighters getting KOed by this lil man
That is the first reaonable explaination of what happened with Zuniga that I have heard. He should have been given a shot by default. However, look at the KO ratios of Arthur's opponents. It's pretty clear that other than Miranda, someone has been pulling a lot of strings to keep AA away from big punchers.
Doesn't it seem a bit odd that they would offer Winky about half of the amount he already turned down to fight Pavlik.
Hey, it's Germany and there aren't as big PPV purses as in the US. In fact, only the Klitschkos can claim this amount of money. In fact, a superstar like Henry Maske only got his career-high payday when he faced Virgil Hill for the second time, drawing about 16 million TV viewers but both got "only" paid around $4 million. And Abraham is far away from such a following over here.
Well, the best case scenario as of right now would be for Winky to beat Williams, and look good doing it. Then set up a mid summer card: Pavlik/Winky and Arthur against the winner of Lorenzo/Miranda. That would put KP back on top of the world, so to speak, and give AA a good showcase fight. Then have AA and KP square off around November. Personally I am sick and tired of mandatories and catchweight bull****.
After this post, I don't take you seriously about ANY topic that talks about AA. I will not read your posts or reply to them anymore. Pavlik is GOD, He is going to go down as one of the alltime great middles of all time, he will annihilate AA, worse then he did Locket!hi::thumbsupI actually like Pavlik until I finished reading your posts. Now my DREAM fight would be AA vs Pavlik, I wish I had the money or was a promoter to make this fight happen.
yes, that guy is the greatest Pavlik nut-hugger arround. His newest claim is that AA is ducking KP and not the other way around. AA has called KP out after every fight (including the Miranda fight), but KP rather went after B-Hop (only because he thought B-Hop was past it). KP is running scared and AA-KP will 99% not happen. KP will hide until AA has to move up.
You boy has fought all of his fights in Montreal. The man has Williams Joppy in his last 5 fights. The only good fighters of noteworthy is Sakio Bika, and Andrade who many think was shafted. You can't be serious when talking about a comparison between AA's and Bute's comp. Bute won a highly controversial fight over Andrade, As Abraham did over Miranda, and he owes Andrade a fight just as AA owed Miranda a fight. Bute owes Andrade a fight if you ask the fans. I brought up the other Canadian fighters as examples of guys fighting at home, and when finally facing world class comp on the regular, they were exposed. Where is Bute fighting his next fight...in Montreal I bet lol... Don't sit up here and lie to us about why Kessler turned down Miranda because you don't know. Don't lie to us to belittle AA's comp. His comp is much better than you think. AA is facing guys with no pulse???? That's ignorant lol... AA icalled out Taylor and PAv. AA was big risk little reward for those guys, but now he isn't anymore because of Miranda...who you think Kessler turned down because he probably wasn't even worth a fight now lol. AA would tell you Miranda won't be a fight in the rematch, but they had unsolved business. And what you say about Demers lol, Abraham didn't prefer to face anyone...you made that up lol... Look at AA's last 5 fights???...Look at Bute's last 5 fights lol... Joppy??? You call AA a German protected fighter who did come to the U.S to beat a bum who you think is the best win on his resume lol...while Bute stays in Montreal lol... Oh, Bute did fight in the U.S in his fifth fight lol... You say you can do the same...the same what??? You feel offended by what I posted, but there is no need to post about a fight that probably won't happen anytime soon(Bute-Abraham). As I told you, when the times comes, and they fight, I'll have no problem explaing myself to you and your 12 year old ego. Bute is overrated, and the boxing world now knows this. Don't worry, the next guy who is capable that Bute fights might expose the guy. I just hope that if he does give Andrade a rematch... Andrade doesn't have the same ref he had for their first fight lol...
I'm sorry that you find the truth so offensive. Research Arthur's resume' for yourself. Even with Miranda in the picture, AA's average opponent had a KO ratio around 40%. Other than Miranda, who mangled his face, Arthur has faced no big punchers; not even one. Did you bother to watch the clip I put up, or did you just assume I put it up to poke fun at the smurf outfit? Watch the clip. Abraham was bloody awful against the only tall fighter he has ever face.
I know what you're talking about. And Pavlik is no Miranda, he's a better puncher, has a good jab, and he's gonna have a pretty good height advantage.
