Will Kownacki lose a significant amount of weight for his next fight?

Kownacki has the classic endomorph body build. He is never going to look anything like the mesomorphs Tyson, Foreman, Lewis, etc. He just needs to train and eat reasonably well. It is something though how he has literally no muscle definition at all.

No, this is just his body type. That's just how it is. Too many people get too caught up in looking the part as opposed to fighting the part. He can still throw heat 12 rounds deep, with power, so who cares? How about Gerald Washington stepping into the ring looking like Tarzan and getting his ass kicked like Jane? What side would you rather be on?

This. Kownacki has a lot of potential and at 225 to 230 I could see him being a threat against top competition in the division, since he has a solid chin and power, but at 240+ I just don't see him having the work rate or conditioning to be a threat to Joshua, Wilder, Fury, Ortiz, or even Whyte. Kownacki has admitted several times that he likes junk food such as fast food and sweets and even eats them in camp, which explains why his conditioning and weight aren't consistent. Kownacki could easily come in around 230 if he cleaned up his diet. This also did James Toney in, since despite always training hard at Wild Card I would often see him at McDonald's stuffing his face with 10-12 Quarter pounders and he was in his mid 30's at the time. In your early 20's you can get away with eating trash and still be in good shape if you train hard enough, but at 30+ years old the weight will start piling on and it gets harder to simply train off. Kownacki's 29 years old, so If he wants any chance at getting a title now is the time to get serious about his diet, since it looks like his poor diet is already starting to catch up with him.

Adam will never have an aesthetically pleasing build, and that's not what I'm suggesting he should try to attain. The 20/30lbs of extra weight he is unnecessarily carrying is forcing his heart to work harder than it has to. That is not beneficial under any circumstance. His respiration and overall physiology is being compromised at 260+. Is there any reason for him to have packed on 20lbs since the Spzilka fight other than overindulgence?

I doubt it, he can't build muscles that fast, if he loses the fat, he's being a CW, maybe even a LHW.
