    That remains to be seen.

I'm a big fan of Adamek, but for me he just isn't big enough for the division these days. Look at how they both sized up against Arreola. Arreola made Adamek look small, Vitali made Arreola look small. Obviously boxing doesn't simply come down to size, but Vitali has quality as well as size. I hope Adamek gets well paid and gives it 100%, but I don't think 100% will be enough

The size argument has been used to predict Adamek's fall, ever since he entered cruiser.

Boxers can get old over night, so you never know.

But if a Vitali close to the Briggs fight turns up, I don't see Adamek having much chance...most likely a late stoppage. Adamek struggled with Grant at times. I also expect him to have an awkward time with McBride...just for the simple fact McBride will try to hug him whenever he gets the chance.

But like I said, Vitali could literally get old over night at this point (even though he's always in great shape).

It's hardly unjustified though. Arreola and Grant gave him problems, and the Klitschkos are levels above both of those guys.

Isnt Chris Byrd smaller than Adamek? :think

Not only Arreola and Grant gave him problems, but even small Briggs and Dawson. But he managed to somehow beat guys at 200 pounds and above. What does it mean? It means that Adamek is still improving. He has improved since fighting Arreola and Grant and a good observator should recognize it. He is now very fluent in his movement and has better footwork and body movement. And he throws more even more punches in combination. His body is more used to the new wieight too.

Solis gave decent 2 minute performance, but that is something completely different from winning the whole fight. And besides, even if Vitali really gets old, I doubt Adamek would be the one who capitalizes on it. Adamek has not much power at HW, and he is still too easy to hit... even Cunningham at CW had him hurt a few times. At best, he could win some opening round(s) before Vitali warms up.

I know size argument has been used every time he moved in weight, but there is a lot of difference between top cruisers or B-level fighters at HW and Klitschos. Both brothers are experts at using their size advantage to win a fight, and Adamek is no Tyson who was able to cut the ring like no one else (and still from time to time he needed his iron chin to win). I agree he improved significantly, but I think he is now close to his limits.

This is just a filler fight really. Adamek is pretty much a slightly better version of Chagaev. A good all round fighter, with a little bit more power. But still undersized. I might be wrong, it might turn out to be a good scrap. I guess my high expectations of Vitali's last fight, as clouded my judgement. Maybe this under dog in Adamek, really is the next big thing. I hope so, because if it's another white wash. It might be the final nail in the coffin for the heavyweight division...

Oh come on! Adameks what, 6'2 6'3? how is that too small? he's not the heaviest handed HW out there but he is a good boxer, fast and has decent footwork and is tough.

He isn't going to win but to say he's going to get badly hurt is both stupd and disrespectful to Adamek. He's tough and will give a better account of himself than any of the other HW's out there would. He's the 3rd best HW in the world, it's not like he's ranked in the 20s or 30s for ****s sake.

Adamek is the only guy out there who will look competetive against vitali. He is fast, skilled, possesses very good footwork and has the chin to take some of those shots and remain on his feet.

Povetkin can't move so it disqualifies him from the start to even compete

Haye would sooner or later end up like solis, almost no defense with such a shaky chin and his punchers chance against iron-chinned man like vitali aint really that much.

He tko'd Golota who was at a similar age so he has a chance, big underdog all the same. I give him a 15% or 20% chance of winning.

Byrds slick style is overrated. Old Golota beat Byrd.
