Interesting analysis on what happened to Solis from Adamek:

Vitali can still hit, and this element of boxing is the last one that goes with age. But could a punch like that, (just a quick strike, glancing first the glove and then the top of Solis’ head), have such a devastating consequence?

I strongly doubt it. I agree that that punch could possibly make him stagger, but not completely take his legs like we witnessed during the telecast from Germany. It was an injury that ended this fight, not “Dr Ironfist’s” unreal power. Nothing sinister here, just an injury. This is why I always put so much attention to all-around physical fitness — every part of your body should be perfectly trained if you want to compete at this level. There must have been something wrong with Odlanier before – such a career-threatening injury seldom happens without some warning signals. If that was the case, Solis’ team should have rescheduled the fight until Odlanier was 100 percent. Only once in 2005 against WBC light heavyweight champion Paul Briggs did I decide to hide my injury, fighting 12 rounds with a broken nose a couple of weeks earlier. No way will I do that again.

It was a powerful shot, but he's right in that it was really the injury that put Solis down and out. Still, Adamek always shows up in good shape, ulike Solis who should be naturally smaller than Adamek but has an extra 30 lbs of fat on him.

I didn't realize how big that city was until I looked it up recently when it was mentioned as the spot for this possible fight.

Hey, can't wait for this fight. I'll be watching! :bbb

Yep, it's a big city, close enough to Poznań, Kraków, and the Katowice metro area that it'll easily pull in a big crowd. Of course I imagine all of Poland plus a lot of Germans and Ukrainians will want to be there for this event, suffice it to say it'll be huge.

i think you've got this all wrong. David Haye is the one who typically likes to plant himself in one spot and throw punches. Most of his offence comes when he's in the pocket. From what I've seen, David Haye is not an effective fighter when he's mobile, which is what we've seen when he faced Valuev.

On the other hand, it would be a serious tactical mistake for Adamek to trade toe to toe with Vitali and one that he doesn't have to make. If there is one thing that Adamek has proven as a HW is that he can be an effective, mobile puncher. The in/out strategy has so far worked almost to perfection , with a handful of tough moments where he had to rely on his sturdy chin vs Arreola and Grant. IMO if Adamek's chin can hold versus Vitali, he can cartainly win a decission. Vitali is simply not as active a puncher as Adamek.

40,610 for soccer, so more I'd imagine since you can have ground seating in boxing and all.

Edit: Another source says 42,000+, so in the lower 40ks for sure for soccer.

The fight may also take place in Warsaw. The stadium there is about 60.000. Wherever they fight in Poland , it will be for sure a sell-out, and a huge support for Adamek, without comparision to any boxing event. It will be one of the biggest sporting events in polish sports history, until 2012 the biggest I think. And a great event to promote our ( with Ukraine) Euro 2012.

War Tomasz. You can do it. If he wins the title, he will be the first ever to be the LHW,CW and HW champion. For sure he is not the most talented fighter of the planet, but he has heart, skills, and he is a mentaly super strong, really tough SOB. It will be a herder fight for Vitaly then you expect.

Maybe Vitali has slowed, he has a harder time getting the KO

Adamek moves a lot has good survival skills fast hands and good counter punching

he can win rounds but i cant see him win

vitali is such a smart fighter even if adamek manages to do good for a little while vitali will take over

:rofl LOL :rofl LOL :rofl LOL :rofl LOL :rofl

I thougt the Poles here are the only one so onesided blind but thank you you give me such a relief :good

comparing not only completely shot but old age pensioner Golota to todays Vitalij? :yep

their age is similar but Golota had been thru so many wars,
he was completely shot when he fought Adamek, shell of him self

the only way I see Adamek winning is Klitschko getting injury and that would be the upset of this century
