We'll have to agree to disagree then, I (and likely the majority in boxing) honestly don't think Stevenson has much more than a puncher's chance against Kovalev now.

I gave him credit for the best straight left around (and it is), but he's getting old - 39 already. He got rocked by Thomas Williams Jr in his last fight, many boxers who rely on exceptional speed decline quite quickly as they get old.

Anyway, we'll see. If Stevenson beats any of Beterbiev, Ward, Kovalev, and I'll throw in Gvozdyk as well, I'll admit I was wrong. Even if he beats Alvarez convincingly, I'll admit underestimated him.

Who gives a f**k about him. The man is only above average, who has cherry picked in a weak decision and relentlessly ducked to the point of his record, which is a joke & getting stripped.

At least deontay makes enough moolar per fight to pay off the WBC executives to avoid him being stripped. Adonis was too stupid to even keep all his bases covered in that respect.

The man is clearly retired living off his career earnings at aged 39...I hope he is enjoying retirement.

I know he's damn near almost 40, but he doesn't have a lot of boxing mileage on him. And still has the fast twitch muscles to fire off a shot a LHW (outside of Ward) wouldn't see until they were on the ground.

He also fought Williams JR pretty damn good, even though he got rocked. He went from getting rocked to fighting inside, to KO'ing him with a perfect punch.

I like how you think @Uppercut_Artist
I have the same predictions. Stevenson is the strongest puncher of all of them. He will definitely fight the winner no matter who it is, if he wants to get the big bucks.
I just can't wait to see this ultimate fight happen and that Adonis shows all the haters how he will KO Kovalev or Ward.
Let's just hope this Ward-Kovalev fight will exceed our expectations.
