I never said he's world class,he's top 10 LHW outhere and a beltholder. He will never be no 1 in the division thanks to guys like Dawson who don't give him a chance. If Adamek would havve ducked Dawson would he be rated good now?

Dawson isn't keeping Diaconu down, quit dreaming. The guy just isn't an elite fighter. For all intents and purposes he was pushed to the limit and in many people's eyes should have lost to Henry, a B grade fighter. Most likely Dawson would have humiliated Adrian if they fought, he is taking on a more skilled, tougher, and bigger named fighter in Tarver.

If Diaconu was so tough he would be trying to fight Glen Johnson right now.

Yeah Chad was pushed to the limit, but he was pushed by an elite LHW fighter. Johnson was the former champ, having beaten RJJ and Tarver. There is nothing wrong with him pushing you to the limit.

As for Adrian, how was anyone ducking him, he isn't a threat to any of the top guys in the division. He was handed Dawson's belt because Dawson wanted to fight the best. I'm sure who ever wins the Dawson/Tarver fight will issue him a challenge, I just wonder what his response will be or if he will even have the belt.

An elite LHW who is also past his prime. And when Adamek was champ did he avoid his mandatory(Dawson) for another fight?Probably after the Branco fight the WBC is gonna make Glen mandatory and Adi will fight Glen, now that's a fight

Wow you really don't know what you're talking about:-( Tarver the best? :nut
To make it clear the only threat to Diaconu is Johnson...thats it.
Johnson wasnt given a title shot against Adi as he just had one and lost(robbed) which is why Diaconu is fighting Branco, however Johnson IS the mandatory for the victor of that fight. So expect Diaconu-Johnson in early 09.
For the record Tarver was nothing more than mediocre even at his peak. So get your head outta your ass pal and stop pretending:hi:

Tell us about the big "Heavy Hitters" fight card on Wednesday at the Seminole Hard Rock LIVE Arena and live on ESPN2.
Joel Julio, I guess, is set to fight for the world title if gets by this one and Joe Greene is moving down in weight so he's ranked number four at middleweight with the WBA, and now he's fighting for a WBA title, so I'm assume he'll get a very significant rating at 154 if he's successful. He's in with a tough guy, Ricardo Torres' brother, he's never been down, it's a good fight.

Why was the decision made to move him down in weight?

When he trained for Francisco Mora in New York, the fight was at 160. It was a twelve round fight and it was for the NABO and NABA title, well two days before the fight he was only 156, and if he did have an achilles heel, he was a small middleweight. So it was natural he should make 154, because it's only two more pounds, and he'll be a big strong guy at 154 as opposed to a small middleweight. That's why the decision was made. He's very young, so that's why he can do that stuff.

    What else is happening?
Raul Marquez is fighting Arthur Abraham on October 4 in Bamburg, Germany, pay-per-view back to the U.S. We're going to bring Miranda back, he'll fight November or earlier. Glen Johnson is number one, we're trying to make a fight with Shaun George, we're seeing if we can get that fight done. Meanwhile, Sylvio Branco's fighting Adrian Dioncanu on October 4th. The winner is mandated to fight Johnson for the world title, he's locked into that. Sultan Ibragimov is taking a long vacation, and when he comes back, only he knows that answer. We're waiting for him to decide what to do. Juan Urango wanted to fight Timothy Bradley but Bradley didn't want to fight, so he's fighting Edner Cherry of all people. Juan's waiting to see what's happening. He'll probably fight in the fall while he's waiting, but that all depends on what happens between Malignaggi and Hatton, because if the winner decides not to fight Ngoudjo, then it will between Ngoudjo and Urango for the vacant IBF title.

I don't understand how you can think Adrian Diaconu is elite when he struggles against Henry, yet write off Tarver as never being good, when he beat RJJ twice and Glen Johnson, the guy you praise.

Diaconu is a chump in the division, when he fights someone elite, this will be shown to be true.

I don't expect much from George, he embarassed a shot and weight depleted Chris Byrd. He gets no respect for that, I see this being a easy win for Glen.

Depends how focused is Glen, remember he looked pretty bad in a tune-up for the Dawson fight with that Pineda guy
