Will Adrien Broner Be THE NEXT Guy?

Nah, he's been exposed already. If he were great he would have walked through Maidana, but instead he got beat down. Khan beat Maidana. Alexander beat Maidana. Some guy named Kotelnik beat Maidana. Old Erik Morales should have got the decision against Maidana. Old Floyd did get the decision. The guy is beatable. If Broner were half what we were told he was he wouldn't have even struggled. No way he beats anybody impressive at welterweight. He should just slink back down to lightweight with his tail between his legs grab a stray belt, never try and unify it, then call it a career.

 

if he changes his mentality and approach to the sport, then he has a chance to be one of the best

 

Nah, he's already proven that he's not a welterweight and " the guy" should ideally be running things in one of the higher profile divisions.

 

He went life and Death with Malignaggi and got beat by Maidana, he was reprieved a little by how Maidana fared in the Mayweather fight but at the end of the day, Maidana is a gatekeeper and if you can't beat those guys, you are not in Club Elite.

 

I have no doubt in his talent, but I'm always questioning his dedication.
It all became too easy at the beginning and he's becoming lazy.
It started to show in the Malignaggi fight, he was more busy with showboating then fighting, which made him almost lose.
He got a wake-up call in the Maidana fight and he fought with his heart in the later rounds.
Against Molina the lazy Broner came back again.

Broner is in my view not 100% dedicated to boxing, he's still young, has lots of talent, but he acts like an adolescent. He needs to grow up, get his head together and start fighting. He's no Floyd 2.0!

 

He did quite well against Maidana, considering how well Maidana did against Floyd.

If his career is managed well, against the right opposition, at the right time, he'll win against 99% of boxers. He has all the tools to be great, he needs a career defining win for history to look upon him favorably.

 

If he dedicates himself to the sport like his "big bro" then he could go places.

Living like a rapper isnt going to get it done though.

 

Got destroyed by Maidana,beat paulie in a close fight,hes a good talent but will never be THE NEXT GUY,will maybe even win another belt but anytime he goes up against a top fighter he will lose..

 

He has talent no doubt but he needs to clean up his act, he didn't even look that impressive last time out against that Tijuana cad driver.

 

He may be the next boxer who tests positive for aids

What is this talent he has? Doing the shoulder roll and talking ****? The guy sucks... *****s jumped on him and tried to claim he was the next ATG and big PPV star and then called everyone a racist who thought otherwise...The *****s also claimed the Maidana fight was going to push him over the edge to superstardom...In the end he was beat down, tried to quit, ran out of the ring, got pelted with beer and cried in his locker room. He made even more of a fool of himself at the last fight when he did the "Can Man" thing for the 1000th time.
