Regardless of his talk about how important the UK fans are for him, if he keeps winning and being paid millions, I can’t ever see him boxing in the UK again.

Does it matter if he doesn’t, or is it a bit of a slap in the face to the UK fans who’ll have followed and supported him from the start?

Of course he will. I think he’s doing a good job in the USA. Best of luck to him

It's going to comedown to money like it usually does.

Joshua's next fight after Ruiz will likely be a mandatory defence against Pulev, not sure if there's the interest in the US for 2 European heavies fighting each other so likely it would be in the UK. But then again Fury/Schwarz is happening in Vegas so who knows where it will be.

His next 3 mandatories will be (I'm this order I'm pretty sure)

    Usyk
    Pulev
    Bryan/Charr winner

Obviously he will box again in the UK.

Three of his potential opponents in the future: Whyte, Fury and Usyk - all three of these fights would most definitely take place in the UK in a stadium.

A fight with Wilder, whether its a first fight or a rematch would probably take place in a UK stadium.

Then you have potential fights against Joyce, Dubois even Pulev which are all likely to take place in the UK.

The real question is will he fight anywhere else on the globe? I think Hearn will be desperate to take him to Nigeria at one stage and possibly China. All depends whether he can keep winning and whether his potential future opponents (e.g. Ajagba for Nigeria) can keep winning.

With Wilder fighting Ortiz next, Whyte vs Fury being ordered if they win their fights, Pulev suspended and Usyk injured for a while it doesn't leave many options for AJs next opponent (assuming he beats Ruiz). Hunter in America or Joyce in the UK are probably the next best options.

Wasn’t there rumours of him fighting in Dubai not long ago?

There was, though there's always rumours of big fights in Dubai and it never really materialises as it basically means some rich Arab funding the whole thing as it would never generate the money to match what it would make elsewhere.

A fight in China would be a remote possibility, depends if a Chinese heavyweight like Zhilei Zhang can get ranked.

Joshua-Fury is going to be the biggest fight in English boxing history and it’s going to be in the Wembley, no doubt.

    I'm not so sure.

    Pulev, Whyte, definite uk fights.

Joshua Fury should be in the UK but now Top Rank and ESPN are involved I think they will push a US fight.

Furey - Joshua would fill a 100k stadium in the UK - assuming both keep winning. A massive fight no pun intended.

Makes sense. He’s very well known there due to all the warm weather training he does there throughout the year.
