i think gomez is a decent enough fighter he has some ok wins, and his technique is pretty good, i think he'll give Jr allot of problems i'm not really sure who wins this 1, i think gomez will go 12, i doubt chavez will stop him he couldnt stop duddy and he was throwing everything but the kitchen sink at him so theres little doubt in my mind he stops gomez, will be an interesting fight.

To be fair, Duddy has an extremely good chin and is very durable.

Much bigger as well, Gomez shouldnt be fighting above WW I dont think so fighting a 6''1 MW isnt the best idea.

I would not consider a Gomez win an upset. Alfonso is a natural welterweight, but he has already beaten better middleweights than anyone Chavez has ever been in the ring with.

Not IMO, but the way some here talk about how big a bum Chavez is, even Gomez should be able to give him problems. In reality though, JR should stop him. I'll be a tad dissapointed if he doesnt.

Nope. Not enough firepower. Just like when Gomez fought Cotto. He just didnt have the firepower to hurt him. So Chavez will just walk him down.

Unfortunately Gomez' style and size are all wrong for beating Chavez Jr. He will get hurt badly. He was completely, completely outclassed by Cotto in every department from speed to coordination to power, and while I expect him to do much better against Chavez he won't last the distance, he is too short to outbox him with the jab unless his movement gets a lot better, and doesn't have the power to deter Chavez.

Duddy had far far more tools to work with than Gomez. Too bad the fight with Sergio Martinez or Pavlik didn't happen, we would get a fair assessment of where Chavez belongs (or doesn't belong). I saw a lot of improvements in the Duddy fight from his previous performances but he is not the fighter he thinks he is. Putting him in with a Cotto, a Martinez, or even a Saul Alvarez is a bad move but a necessary one eventually.

Nope, at best he'll give Jr. some tough early rounds.

At all. Gomez can fight. Chavez Jr. is the one to wonder about.
