Will all the tourney hometown wins make good fights harder in the future?

Serious question. Home cooking has been credited/blamed in all but one fight so far? Will this make matchmaking harder? I'm starting to fear it will. All fight by fight negotiation has been taken out of the picture. I'm afraid it will get much tougher to match up US/Europe fighters after this once the promoters see the trend. I guess there is still time for it to correct, but the trend so far is troubling.

    Poll on the way.

I assume you count the only fight not affected being Abraham-Taylor. But Abraham-Dirrell wasn't any type of hometown hit job it was an evenly reffed fight and Abraham did himself in with his blatant shot to a guy on the ground. And Ward-Kessler was Kessler getting his ass handed to him. Ward wins that fight on neutral ground or in Oakland. So really it has been 2 fights so far that have had any type of 'hometown cooking' pulled(maybe 1, haven't seen Kessler-Froch yet to make a decision).

But for the knockout stage I want the fights fought either in Las Vegas or Atlantic City, but that is a pipe dream.

Abraham/Dirrell you do have some people thinking the ref pulled the trigger quick because the DQ was before giving Dirrell recovery time. I'm just worried that we are going to have US and European promoters looking at what has transpired and be reluctant to take fights 'cross pond'. Even if you throw out the controversy, having every guy win at home is kind of unusual. I just watched the Kessler/Froch fight. Good fight, but I thought it was a clear Kessler win. (Since this was a title fight wouldn't it have been up to the WBC to provide the judges/ref?)

But yeah, I'd like to see neutral territory in the knock out round, but can you sell tickets? I know the fight in Detroit was postponed and moved, but the ticket sales were ridiculous.

There are now posts that Froch and Abraham are both insisting on home field now. If these reports are true then I think this will only get worse with promoters demanding home fights now and not willing to budge.

And Froch's promoter, Mick Hennessy, claims to have an agreement in place to see the fight held in Britain but Abraham's promoters, Sauerland Events, are adamant the bout will be staged in Berlin - a claim which has riled Froch.
