Allan Green has officially replaced Jermain Taylor in the Super Six tournament. It was obvious to most, from the start, that Taylor would not advance in this tournament and would soon need a replacement...and here we are. Green is now schedulled to face Ward and Kessler. He will have to beat at least one of these guys to advance. There are still several behind the scene variables that can prevent this tournament from even continuing into the third stage, but assuming it does, will Green advance to the semifinals?

Green struggled against a MW in his last fight. He's going to get destroyed by the big guns at SMW. Abraham will leave him unconscious.

If advance you mean increase the number of loses in his record, then yes.

No. Miranda beat him easily at middleweight, and he hasn't looked great in his last few fights. I can't believe he gets entry to this tournament, Bika and even Miranda are more deserving.

Ward's to quick for him and I think Kessler will find him very upright and easy to hit. Green is an ok puncher so cant be completely ruled out.

Agreed. But what I really meant by "advance" was "beat Kessler", because I know he's not beating Ward, and think he has a shot against Kessler, though I still pick Kessler. Interesting fight nonetheless.

Kessler is half the fighter he used to be. He's lost all confidence and is ripe for the picking. That's why I think Froch - who Kessler would otherwise KTFO- will win by tko.

I think Kessler made a good move acquiring a new trainer, and I think the Ward fight may have opened his eyes (not literally). How he reacts is the big question though. Do you pick Green to beat him? If so, the voting doesn't reflect it.

No Green's toughest oppostion was vs Miranda who is several levels behind the other Super 6 fighters and Green lost virtually every round vs Miranda. Green is good fighter going up agianst great ones. Ward and Kessler will both dominate him.

Kessler should destroy Green. Should. I just don't know if he has anything left in the tank. Ward fought a great fight to be sure, but Kessler was a shell of his pre-Calzaghe self. I'll still take Kessler over Green, but if Green puts him to sleep I won't be in any way shocked.
