I think he loses to Ward, which most would predict, and therefore it's quite unlikely he can advance. Of course, it will depend on what Kessler and Dirrell do next round. I don't see both of them losing, so losing this round would make it quite unlikely.

does anyone know how they plan on bringing green into the tournament? will he have a fresh start, or will taylor's (tournament) loss be attached to him?

Hell no he won't...ward could batter him and knock him and so could aa...froch might be the only guy he would have a chance at beating

Not really. Green never impressed me against lesser opposition and i don't see why he can do batter against the top of the SMW.

    It's not impossible.
Assuming that Ward beats Green, and Abraham beats Dirrell....... both "IF"s at this point, a lot would depend on Kessler.

If he loses, then conceivably, you could have Green, Dirrell and Kessler all with '0' points going into the final fight of the qualifying rd.

Dirrell would have the toughest matchup with Ward in the final fight and obviously could lose, but, even if Kessler wins and doesn't KO Froch (not an easy feat) Green would need to beat Kessler and he's in.

Point being.... Green could quite possibly get in with that one win vs Kessler. It's asking alot, but it is possible.

A side note...... Dirrell really does have the hardest schedule of all the fighters, huh? Although, I give him the best chance, other than AA of beating Ward. His style and skills could give Ward trouble.

Ward's referee will protect him, so no danger, not to mention Ward's famous head butt.

Take a look at Ward's patented Billy Goat head butt on replay, it was intentional! Even commentators were amazed!

No doubt about it. But with boxing politics the way it is, they got an "acceptable" opponent. One who will not embarrass himself or be a sacrificial lamb, but also one who does not pose the greatest of threats to the field.

But a win over Kessler and he could be in.

If you check my post history, you will see that I am in no way, shape, or form an Allan Green apologist. However, now that I have seen recent fights from all the combatants, I certainly give Green a better chance than I would have prior to the start of the sauerland six.

Will they leverage the points to account for the fact he will only have 2 fights?
