I like that scenario. It would keep Lucian fresh, and give Kelly the chance to fight a southpaw who is substantially better than 2006 McKart.

Who though? The only decent southpaws at middleweight are Winky and Gevor, and neither one is even close to Bute stylistically. If he faced David Lopez, people would complain as much as they're complaining about him fighting Espino (even though Lopez is significantly better than Espino). And Arum wouldn't risk pitting him against someone like Martinez or Williams if he has a big fight on tap.

Im often surprised Green gets as much attention as he does, when he stepped up against Miranda he got knocked down and outpointed

Williams is not a high risk fight. In fact, PW is the perfect opponent to make Pavlik look good. Paul fights one way. He comes forward throwing leather with questionable accuracy and not much power at 160. In a head collision with Pavlik, Williams gets his ass handed to him everytime.

Well, if they want Pavlik, I'd say that fight is likely from all I've heard and read. Bute was in the road map I heard Lowe lay out for Kelly. We shall see after Saturday.

I certainly hope that Allan ''The foot fetish'' Green will accept to fight this time around...

I don't think Arum wants him to fight Bute though... The rest of the Pavlik team I'm sure don't mind.

All indications were that Kelly is the one that pushed for the Williams fight. It is well known that Arum didn't even want to talk to the Williams camp after they backed out of the fight pre-Bhop. THAT is why Arum wouldn't let any of his Welters fight Williams. Arum even stayed out of the negotiations with Williams this time around. I don't think Arum is in any mood to 'protect' Kelly at the moment anyhow. I think there is a very good chance Bute is next.

Green will have one last chance to prove himself in 2010. If he runs, we can close his shop...

Greg Leon insulted Arum so bad he hung up the phone on the conference call and refused to even take the call when Green's camp said they would take the fight. I don't see it happening. Who is Green as far as Pavlik is concerned?
