The ****? Oscar's accent is a cholo as you can get. Well, maybe not the "HOLMES! ESE! FOO!" accent, but you can tell he has the heavy "Chicano" accent.
again, i don't care where the guy comes from...maybe in the olymppics or something, but who gives a **** about the olympics
it depends on if he wants to be embrace as one of our own or weather he wants to be embraced by the philps his choice
Politics.... Obama has more to lose than to gain by congratulating Donaire. The Hispanic vote is a lot more important than the Filipino vote.
Nonito is percived by everybody to be filipino first. DLH fought in the olympics for the US and won a Gold medal. He went out of his way to embrace the US by wearing trunks with the US flag in it. DLH knew how much that would help him in the business side of boxing. DLH was never embraced by most mexican fans and was seen more as an american. While donaire is loved in the phillipines and is probably not know by the regular fan. And no matter what he does he'll never be seen as an american. He might be embraced as a great boxer but not as an american great boxer. :hat
If Donaire is black Fil-Am, would he merit attention from the busy chief executve of the US? This is in a way an offshoot to another thread which says that if Pacquiao is an American, he would be greater than Oscar, Ali, etc.
oscar and ali are loved because they made people alot of money pac did too but not like oscar mayweather ali tyson this is what matters to the most high in america money
