Overrated boxer of this decade if he beats Hatton? He will probably have one of the most blown up resume's at the moment and possibly be entered into the P4P top 10 at boxrec. Seriously though this guy will have the most carefully planned career but eventually he will face another C level banger like Prescot, and loose. Barrera= Smaller, shot, and had a terrible gash all through the fight Koltelnik= Regarded as the weakest champt at junior welter and in most eyes lost the Maidana fight. Hatton= Just suffered two career ending KO's and is currently coughing up his lungs in a hospital.
kotelnik is solid. if khan beats him handily i will give him props. all it means is that he can box with a boxer, though, which i think we all already know. kotelnik doesn't have much power and therefore amir will have a much easier night than if he were to face an ortiz or maidana. i honestly think either of those guys would pull a prescott on him.
Hes been quoted saying that hes willing to face Hatton after Kotelnik. Meaning it came from out of his mouth.
Urango would murder Khan at 140! Prescott doesnt even have huge power compared to Urango and look at what happened.
You see Im baffled by some of the criticism Khan receives. Hes often accused of being overprotected and fighting nobodies. But those three names you mention certainly suggest otherwise. People will always nitpick at little details to try and belittle his choice of opponents, and overlook important facts: Barrera Yes he was smaller and a few years past his best, but a dangerous fight nonetheless. Especially when you consider Khan was only one fight on from that brutal KO. On the night, he did what he had to do and was looking good prior to the head clash, and yes I agree with you that the victory proved nothing and was exaggerated by the British media. But still, you cant fault Khan for getting his job done (as dubious as it was) Kotelnik Remember, it was only 2 fights ago he was pummelled by Prescott. You have to give him credit for taking on a guy who has proven his mettle at the highest level. His victory over Maidana proves just that. Especially when we saw what the Argentine did to Ortiz a couple of weeks ago. Hatton The Mayweather defeat well over a year ago, he still went on to dominate Mallinagi. His loss to Pacquiao was in no way evidence of his dramatic decline, it just exposed him as the one dimensional fighter he is. Compared to the other 140 pounders, hes still a top level fighter, and a very dangerous opponent for someone as inexperienced as Khan. Remember he's only 22
He lost to the 2 p4p top guys. Weirder things have happened than Hatton grabbing another world title in the future.
Roach has been quoted today as saying that they will give up the belt if Khan wins, thereby avoiding big-punching Maidana as the mandatory. Roach says he is targeting the comebacking Morales, which is scandalous.
