Will amir khan come 2 dominate light wleterweight division

khan is like marmite. sometimes i like him but some of the stuff he comes out with i think wat a ****. i think within the next 18 months 2 years he can clear up the division if warren allows it

 

I dont like Khan!

 

Tim Bradley would toy with him.

He won his title from Witter, in England, despite it being an ugly fight. He was beating the crap out of Campbell before it got stopped on the cut. He just won a clear decision over a rather talented Lamont Peterson, too. Combine those with his victory, coming off the canvass, against Holt, and I think it's inaccurate to say he hasn't faced anyone.

What's impressive about Bradley is he shows something new every fight. He's expanded from a pressure fighter to one who can box off the back foot a bit, throw pretty combinations, etc. Other than dynamite power, he's got a bit of everything.

This doesn't mean I don't think a lot of Khan, because I do. At this point, I think Bradley would take it to him, but I'll be curious to see Khan's continued development. His handspeed is absolutely elite, which can get him far. While I don't subscribe to the school of evaluating fighters solely on their chins, I do want to see him in with a puncher again before completely writing off what happened against Prescott.

 

If he stays with Warren I doubt he'll be dominating anything, simply because fights against top and/or dangerous guys won't be made.
I don't know about Prescott's punches to Khan being hard enough to ko everybody, Khan has a proven weak chin, someone like Limmond won't put you on the floor if you can take a punch.

 

I think the guy has talent, and will be facing Bradley in the near future.

 

By the end of the year Khan will be ready for Bradley, the 5'6 man will lose UD. Khan will show Bradley a new meaning to speed and hit and move with high workrate at range.

 

Kahn will get completely destroyed by Bradley. I see Khan's career ending very soon, that shitty chin is going to **** him.

 

Khan is world class on every level except the chin and I don't think we really know for certain if the chin is all that bad. Sometimes when a fighter matures a little, maybe goes up in weight (especially when these tall kids are coming up), their punch resistance gets a little better as they fill out-if they fight at a higher weight without having to dry out at all. I think he's too green for Bradley right now. Khan green, Bradley probably peaking, it's too competitive for Khan to dominate the entire division immediately. But he may surprise a lot of people within the next couple years.
