Will Amir Khan Ever Take A Fight That He Is The Underdog (aside from floyd or pac)?

If you take a look at the career of TRUE GREATS they made their fame by taking a fight where they were the big time under dog and still winning and if they ARENT the underdog the odds are pretty damn close.... Fights that WERE NOT about the money but actually proving your greatness and fighting someone that is considered a real beast. It only takes one or two of these fights to make your name.

Do you ever see Khan doing anything like this or continue to take fights where he is the heavy favorite?

Why don't Pac and Floyd count? And who besides them would Khan not be favorite against at 147?

Khans just called out Cotto at 155. He's chasing the best fights possible which also happen to be the money fights, not sure how he can be criticized for that. You'd rather he fight lesser opponents for less money? :huh

Maidana and Cotto are perfect choices. and close to even fights. Taking either of these fights now would be perfect to solidify floyd or manny. I've gave credit to amir khan in the past for his resume but it's kind of ****ty honestly....

His best fights are DSG and Maidana. Some Argue maidana beat him. THe rest of his fights sucked or he should have destroyed his opponent anyways.

He already fought Maidana, and he just called out cotto. He would also be favourite against maidana as he was last time

There was a time when he was looking for good fights and not just looking to cash out. He fought Maidana, he wanted to unify with Bradley but the Garcia loss seems to have changed that.

He knows he is always one good punch away from becoming irrelevant and probably doesn't believe he is a great fighter or has what it takes to be great, he's just fighting for the money now which is why he's tried fighting as little as possible while trying to secure a huge payday.

other than pac or fmj who'se he going to be underdog against? based on uk bookies he's a 8/13 to beat brook, he'll probably be favourite against bradley, otther than moving up a division (or two in cottos case) he'll go into most of his fights as favourite.

he needs to take more fights in general, fighting twice a year isn't enough at this stage of his career

Did someone just say that "Some argue that Maidana beat him". WHO? Khan very clearly beat Maidana in that fight.

Is it really such a big negative? At his prime, did Ali ever beat someone he was an underdog against? If Khan's getting made favourite over Kell Brook, Timothy Bradley, Maidana etc. then that's just down to his abilities.

In his prime Ali wasn't an underdog against anyone. But he built up his career after beating Sonny Liston twice at merely 22 years old when he was a heavy underdog.

The only fighters khan has not fought around his weight class at the top level, I'm talking 140 were Lucas Mattyesse and Victor Ortiz. Bradley and Marquez didn't want to fight Khan at that time. He has just entered the top 6-8 at 147 so we will have to wait until we see who he fights down the line.

This time last year after the Diaz fight, everyone was saying he was shot to ****. Make your minds up, u can't have it both ways.

What fights is he an underdog in (excluding Pac, May) ? which he might recognize?

    Cotto?

Bradley? Brook? (Khan won't see himself as an underdog in either of them fights)

Will he ever take a fight as an underdog except for the fights when he is the underdog? Probably not. The truth is there are very few fighters at Khan's weight who would be the favourites against him.

Floyd Mayweather has never been the underdog in a fight during his entire career.

Keith Thurman, Kell Brook, Tim Bradley, Lucas Matthysse, Brandon Rios, Juan Manuel Marquez - to name a few. He could go as far to fight Sadam Ali. He can fight any of them, it's not like there's a shortage of opponents for him.

Yet all of them are, though. (except Sadam Ali at the moment, but that'd be a good fight too nevertheless)
